I don’t think we were outplayed for much of the second half, They grew as the 2nd half wore on and forced us back especially after their subs, but dominated, nar
You don’t want him to try and build some confidence in the players, you don’t want him to criticise them. What exactly would you want him to say? Maybe he could sit there and say nothing??
Of course, but had we kept the same belief as the first half, we would have been more likely to score. The clear change of tactics to something more negative, really hindered us.
Yeah worked for hecky when he used to give it the players aren' doing what i ask of them. Or the public slaying of players. Worked wonders well it diverted the blame from him.
Its a strong accusation saying the guy is a liar , I would think again if I was you , also , do you think the guy has got a magic wand & suddenly everything is going to be all right ? He should be given time to do his job
He’s doing his job in a negative way whilst claiming to be positive, If that’s not lying then I apologise. But I’d say it’s the very definition of lying.
Listening to 5-live last night before the Cheski V Madrid drubbing, they were talking about Conte's not very enthusiastic comments about Hazard during his press conference. Chris Sutton said of course players listened carefully to their managers press conference and what was said would certainly effect them and he thought it was unbelievable that given the opportunity to compliment his best player Conte was pretty luke warm.
Willing to cut Morais some slack but if he rotates Cavare in for Yiadom again on Saturday my patience will be sorely tested.
The problem in the present situation is with 9 games left we need points on the board. It's wasting twelve months if we're relegated and even then not sure to get promoted immediately, plus a loss of income through the gate. Morais is trying to impose his tactics in too short a space of time instead of playing to his strengths, i,e two defensive midfielders neither of whom can score. If you don't score you never get three points. Tuesday was an example of his tactics, leaving Moore up front on his own chasing the ball between the back three. If McBurnie had played alongside Moore it would have negated the 3-5-2 which Norwich adapted.
Survive this season in the Championship and let him bring in some of his own players for next. I'm optimistic that whichever division we are in next year we will do well.
Well what did you expect him to say Regardless of his actual thoughts he can hardly come in and say "Jeeez this squad is poor - about as much chance of keeping this lot up as Ripper making a positive post"
Think this is pretty much spot on. I’ve not seen the form table, but would expect from the last 5 games that Hull, Boro & Cardiff are all placed quite high. Burton was disappointing - but not really his fault. Norwich was frustrating - so I’d say that this was the first game where he should have done better. But I don’t think we would have won that game under Hecky either.
He doesn’t have say anything, Swansea manager is a master at it, if you can’t answer the question without lying, just answer every question, with a question of your own, then answer that question. It’s easy.
