I think José should go back to basics and give us a fighting chance at this league again next season. No more experiments or chopping and changing.
    Have Davies in goal.
Back four of Yiadom, Jackson, Lindsay and Fryers.
Midfield four of Izzy, Hammill, Mallan and any of the 'defensive' midfielders.
Top 2 of McBurnie and Bradshaw.

Basic, so the players can concentrate on their job for once. My opinion like.

I would honestly drop both Townsend and Davies now. People say we can't risk a young lad, tbh we can't risk either of those either.

    Walton

McCarthy Jackson pinnock (who can't still be injured can he?) yiadom

Thiam (played better on the wing than anyone else so far) Gardner (far better player without Williams) Moncur (deserves a crack after yesterday's effort) hammill

    Mcburnie Moore

4 4 2 with two big men up front and two wingers who aren't scared to put balls in

I admire your enthusiasm as to me writing out prospective line-ups with any combination of our squad just seems like an exercise in advanced deckchair shuffling.

I'd like to see the term 'defensive midfielder' banned - seems to me that in our context it just means 'severely limited midfielder' who can't cut it in the way we need them to and who hangs around under the feet of the centre halves all game passing it sideways/backwards/nowhere.

People like Morsy and Scowen were often described as defensive midfielders but both also got up and down the field, pressed players in the opposition half, could tackle, dribble, run, shoot and, above all, go forward and pass forwards.

Ill modify that. Have Jose give one of our underperforming midfielders a b*llocking then and tell them that if they dont start acting like a proper box to box midfielder, there'll be sackings at half time.

I wouldn't mind seeing Greatorex play because I've been saying "Greatorex" to myself like a robot ever since I saw the article about him and its been more pleasing than all the keepers' performances this season added together.

Yes - play a simple system the players understand.
    Keep it simple.
Just one change from your lineup - Moore for Bradshaw.
If we had two wingers putting crosses into the box - like we know Hammill and Isgrove can do - then the presence of Moore and McBurnie in the middle would frighten to death any defence in the Championship.

I think a move in the summer darn sarf was the inspiration behind Moncur upping his game.. And it worked Harris mentioned him by name after the game..

Might be in the minority here but would like to get Mills back into the back four. Seemed a talker and an organiser for me something that we haven’t had all season.Just think Lindsay looks to be lumbering and struggling as of late and could do with a rest .

Gardner was great without Williams yesterday.

Moncur flattered for 10 mins then had 35 mins deceiving.

I’d give Walton a go. If he’s worse than the other two there’s no hope for him

For me Hamill & Izzy on the wings & Moore & McBurnie up front is a no-brainer.

Mebbe but we STILL have the issue with who plays in the centre. You either pair two with little creativity and supposed graft or one of these with supposed creativity and little graft, especially if you go for top-knot

Again. I keep seeing folk say how good he is without Williams. He is invariably as soft as a freshly dropped turd and adds very little eother fensiovely or defensively

    Like with bells on

So frustrating that Millwalls keeper kept saving the shots we put on target - just like our keepers dont. Only seen Walton once in an under 23 game and he looked OK - how that translates onto the grown up game we wont know until he has a go
