Just reinforces for me that it's been a completely random, speculative appointment, he speaks but says nothing much, bailed half way through, I'm as uninspired as I was when I walked out after 60 mins against Millwall.

If we start 4-3-3 we'll get battered. 5 in midfield and McBurnie up front ffs. Hope he proves me wrong and picks a team to grind out a result.

It will be a miracle if these players stay up. It has been that way all season

I disagree. There's a good enough amongst them to finish above the relegation zone. By grinding out results. Our season turned when Hecky got obsessed with playing 2 strikers. And this blokes playing 3. Barmy.

4-5-1 and a good 1 at that. We could win 3 - 4 games 1 nil and stay up.

    Just listened to the interview.
    OMG !!!
Jose Morais has TOTALLY TOTALLY MISUNDERSTOOD why Barnsley have not been winning games.
The players have never ever been short of CONFIDENCE.
All what the players needed was someone to score goals.
    We have those players now.

So please Jose - stop trying to CHANGE things with these players.
You haven’t got the time FFS !!!
Just let them play in the formation they have been used to playing.
It’s so simple to understand - why the hell is Jose trying to complicate things?

Jose - next season when you have brought in some of your own players then that’s the time to experiment.
We haven’t time to experiment right now - we need the points.

He sounds a great bloke, to be fair. I think it's hard to disagree with his motivational theories and his encouragement for the players (and the rest of us, come to that) to have "belief". But the problem is, we are in a hole. We don't have players of the calibre he is used to working with. In this situation he needs to sacrifice some principles in order to grind out some results. Even his mentor Jose Mourinho is well known to do that on occasions. In my view we need to shore up the defence and the defensive midfield and first and foremost, avoid conceding. And especially conceding sloppily. If we have to go long ball in this situation, then so be it. At least we now have two lads likely to take advantage if things fall their way. The motivation and developmental stuff can wait for next year.

We generally already play 6 defensive type players. Methinks that if these apparently great defenders actually did their jobs we’d be better off

Williams' return will help, for my money. I'd also try Yids in midfield.

Talks in platitudes, no substance just repeating the same ******** over again. Talk about work rate or how we are not challenging second balls or being soft in 50/50s, im bored of hearing the word believe.

I don't think he was random.. He was clearly in like a shot watching vs Wednesday. GG said he was number one fro the start.
I think he may be mates with one of the new owners.. it's the only thing that could explain the appointment..
