    30 games Hecky v 8 games Morais

Hecky: Wins ratio 20% Points ratio 30% (27/90) Goals per game 1 Conceded per game 1.46

Morais: Wins ratio 12.5% Points ratio 25% (6/24) Goals per game 1 Conceded per game 1.62

Based on those trends (which may not be a fair assumption) Hecky would have finished up with 41.4 points; Morais is on schedule for 39.25. [Morais' points ratio across a season would have yielded 34.5]

[Feel free to check my maths - it isn't my strong suit!]

Hecky had the benefit of Harvey Barnes; Morais has had the benefit of Keiffer Moore and Oli McBurnie.

Would Hecky have stayed if we had matched Leeds' terms and extended his contract? That would certainly have blown our financial model apart, although it is not known what Morais and his staff have cost us.

Will Morais & Co prove to be the same draw for young developing players as Hecky's reputation was? That may be crucial to our prospects in League One.

Will the owners spend sufficiently to get us back into the Championship? [It doesn't appear they will have done so to keep us in it this year.] Based on Ben Mansford's assertions from 3-4 years ago, relegation will cost us £5M+ in turnover.

What is the patience level of the supporters after this season's self-destruction?

Zero with the new owners if you’re anything to go by.

They took over on 17th December. And inherited a shambles. No preparation for the transfer window, and still managed to sign 6 players - always could have done more like get a keeper but given the situation it was remarkable. Preparation should have started in August but didn’t because of the takeover. Seems a reasonable approach to me.

The best thing they could do is thrown anything they were told during the takeover of the legitimacy and value of the plan into the bloody bin - can only assume they thought they were getting a squad that would be worth millions and able to improve hence the “too good” comments.

Alternatively to please you they should hand it back to the family.

No, you've got me wrong there Mr Redstar. I was wowed with how we turned it round in the RB2HB season, but the departures of January last year, followed by the summer ones left me feeling we were heading back to square one. I was for the previous owner investing a bit more to stabilise, given what we'd achieved, and also the fact that the club had actually generated some funds we were sitting on. Following the takeover, the McBurnie loan and Keiffer were decent bits of business, but I'm personally underwhelmed by the other January dealings. There was a crying need for more quality to preserve our Championship status. Maybe I'll be proved wrong in time. And maybe the owners will do more in the Summer. But for me right now, the jury's out.

39 points sounds about right.. Any other season a points tally like that would have you deservedly relegated. This is a bit of a freak season where there's 4 teams just as bad. I'm sure we can't save ourselves due to our lack of wins.. even when we play decent like yesterday... We don't win, that screams .. we are not good enough.. simple
But we still may survive do to this extraordinary season, they'd still may be three worse teams than us...

Now I haven't been to a match for ages but the difference for me, reading the reports and reactions online, we seemed to play yesterday for the full 90 minutes rather than the 45 minutes or so for most of the games this season.

That is what gives me the optimism for the remaining games.

I think that confidence is possibly a reason we drew yesterday.

Had we been flying we'd have seen the game out, or scored more than 2 to make it more comfortable.

Perhaps we can cancel the match at Elland Road & let the points be decided by the two managers donning sumo wrestling costumes & have a bout in the centre circle. Would be more entertaining than the match, as would the post match team talks.

I think the late equaliser yesterday, plus Sunderland's shock victory, seem to indicate relegation, sadly. I predicted as much before the season started, sacking PH in December and bringing in a new Coach might have changed the outcome. Looking at the remaining fixtures, they have to win all the home games and pick up a win or couple of draws away from home. I'm not sure that is going to happen. I do feel there is a good nucleus of a squad for League 1,with good additions. If by some miracle the club survive they will have to invest in better quality and experienced players.
I was reading an article on European Football clubs and they operate a 2 Column approach to recruitment. This means they buy young untested players but blend them with skilled experienced players. You see how this differs from our 1 Column method. The Club got lucky in the past with Transfer income and became complacent and didn't evaluate and appraise how it was doing. Hence the proliferation of recruitment of inexperienced players in the Summer. That would have been fine if there was a large number of Championship experienced players already here.I said at the time that the Plan doesn't work for the Championship.
I feel the new Board have enough knowledge and experience to take the Club forward. I hope they still have the enthusiasm.

I can see an influx of Foreign unknown quantities reminiscent of the Davey days. They may be in awe of where Morais has worked in the past and give it their all. On the other hand...

Barring first few months of the season, the football played under both managers as been pretty much the same. When we have played poor we have lost and when we have played decent we have lost or scraped a draw.

For me goalkeeping errors have been very costly by both our poor and badly out of form keepers, points dropped through these incidents have stopped us being around mid table which would have been an excellent season considering.

We`re still in their feighting. We can survive this. We are the Red Army, RED ARMY.
