    There I've said it...

In all seriousness, they had a covering defender. It wasn't a clear goalscoring opportunity. With the angle and distance Moore was from goal, to say the defender who was positioned slightly more centrally wouldn't have put pressure on Moore is a bit of a stretch sadly. With that in mind I think the ref got it right. I thought as much at the time, and now I've seen the replay it looks correct.

    Yellow.

This is the decision many feel should have been a red card.

The camera from the west stand is the worst angle to view it from. The second defender was nowhere near covering and moore was running at goal. He had a clean shot with just the keeper to beat inside the area, that simply has to be a red card.

I feel for Moore to be able to beat the defender that ultimately fouled him, the guy who'd come around the back of him would have been able to at least make Moore's shot more difficult to get away. In my opinion at least.

I have noticed from the extended highlights however a very clear foul on Gary Gardner on the half way line in the build up to their 2nd equaliser. Play continues for a good 10-15 seconds before they score mind, but if the referee gives the foul there, we have a free kick on the half way line and the chance to slow play down in injury time.

There was also a clear penalty for Moore just before half time when he gets bumped in midair when trying to win a header; the defender makes no attempt to play the ball. This isn't on the iFollow highlights package, but is on the Sky Sports ones.

    Red card for me too.

There was no other man Moore was through on goal and denied a shot.

Rules mean that’s a red card offence

Red card for me...the other defender is behind Moore by a couple of yards when he's fetched down.

From my view in the Ponty I thought it was a red.

I was level with it in the east upper, it looked a red then and more so now when I’ve looked at the footage, the other defender would not have got there

Red card all day long. He would definitely have been in a position to get a shot away one on one with the keeper so that classes as denying a clear goal scoring opportunity in my book.

The ref bottled it because we were only 5 minutes into the game.

Worst decision for me of the whole game was when, right in front of the north stand, one of their players went over on his ankle and fell to the ground without a Barnsley player within 5 yards of him. I'm not suggesting he was play acting, I'm sure it hurt a bit, but all he needed was a minute. It wasn't a serious injury, it wasn't a head injury or a fracture or an open wound, it wasn't life threatening, he'd twisted his ankle. The ref stopped play. That's not a judgement call he got slightly wrong, it's not knowing the laws of the game.

I make you right but sometimes you have to be careful with players who just drop like a sack of spuds, It can be more serious than it appears. I can't understand why the physio shouldn't be allowed on the field whilst play continues.

I have been wanting that change to the laws of the game for years. Would get rid of play acting for a start

And what made it worse is that when we had players down he did bugger all. You either stop the game for both teams or neither (in my opinion it should be neither, just get on with the game).

I’ll be honest, not once did I think the ref was going to pull his red card out. Not sure if it’s because I didn’t think it was a red or I’ve just got no confidence in us ever getting a decision.

Red card for me. The only reason it wasn't given is cos it was so early in the game. Second half he would have gone 100%. If he was going to give him a Red he would have gave it straight away, once he was chatting to players i knew it was only a Yellow. Wrong decision from the ref, he bottled it simples.
