I was quite excited about this signing, although I knew it could take time for him to adapt. I thought at the time the transfer window was pretty decent, but in the end apart from Oli and Moore its been pretty poor. Mills not really played, knass also, and maloney has been a disaster. What happened to the days when new signings were match ready and straight into the team.
i've been watching out for them two french lads when i gander through the scores just to see what we 'missed out' on. i've not looked at every match i would say but when i have noticed Amiens and Lens ive taken a look.....Manzala has been used as sub mainly from what i have seen, while Ephestion hasnt been involved in the 1st team until i saw his name for the first time yesterday as it goes, he was an unused sub. so neither have been playing first team football....so cant see how they surfaced on the spreadsheet in the first place.
I think going forward we need to look at quality over quantity. I remember Hignett and how good he was. He made everthing tick. I also feel going forward they will look to recruit from the continent which I feel was a factor in jose’s Appointment. His ability to speak multiple languages etc.. most prob he as good contacts on the continent also, who knows...
Really odd one that! Maybe we didn’t offer them much more money so they thought theyd rather sit on the bench in the sun rather than the rain
That was a weird signing. But then this is the club that didn't give Stefan Payne or Kayden Jackson a chance and those two are banging goals in for clubs they look like getting automatically promoted.
And he’s still banging them in. If we didn’t get promoted in 16 I reckon he’d have been great for us and got us promoted the next season.
Nothing against Moore, but letting Payne go for free then paying money for a player with a very similar record was a bit of an odd one
