my first opinion stands that they are not championship level and not well organised
After 24 hours I will say they do not get the rub of the green, they are an unlucky team
The biggest travesty was the referee
This man want relegating to the non league
His decision to give them a penalty for shirt pulling was a joke
All match they were all arms round Moore and others
He missed two blatant penalties which were dead certs
This bloke or moron has probably cost us our championship status

Lots of people were saying the squad wasn't good enough before a ball was kicked, and sadly we've been proved right.

I think we were rubbished at the time though.

Absolutely. The people who did the rubbishing will probably claim we haven't been proved right because we're not quite as bad as Rotherham United.

Despite that, I think we would have benefitted from less chopping and changing. A more settled lineup would have given us a better chance of staying up. We would be better organised, and the first choice eleven would be physically fitter. We really shouldn’t be in a position where players are struggling to finish a game at this stage of the season.

Everyone knew that this season with a full team of new lower league signings who had never played in the championship before would inevitably struggle, we hoped at best for lower mid table survival and with the length of contracts and a years experience would improve the following season as per the plan.

The plan wasn't to miss out on mcburnie in the summer and because of that Hecky to get the monk on and up sticks as soon as the transfer window shuts.

Positives this year have been Lyndsay Pinnock Potts from the summer signings the others have done as expected but they will all be better for a more settled new season.

Agree with that. I suppose the problem is that when it's clear something is not working you have to change it, and for us nothing seems to work. For me the only two definite names on the team sheet are Yiadom and McBurnie. After that it's pulling names out of a hat.

What's positive about Lindsay? A supposed ball playing centre half who can't pass or defend.

I think he has played consistently well throughout the season and from the Scottish league to the championship has adapted well and next year will be better again. We could start s thread slagging Lyndsay off like we have for fryers, moncur and Davies as they make great reading.

Poor positional sense, poor reading of the game, soft in the air, can't tackle, can't find a red shirt with a six yard pass with the inside of his foot, is my honest assessment of the lad.

I have enjoyed the roller coaster nature of the last 3 home games. Of the players who are actually ours and likely to stay on, I think Moore, Lindsey, Pinnock and Jackson have overall done well this season and if we stay up will do even better next season having had a full (half for Moore) Championship season under their belts. I am not sure about the rest, and we'd need to spend some serious dough to recruit the quality of player needed to prevent a repeat of this season.

If we go down, I think those 4 along with Bradshaw, Hammill, Isgrove, Cavare and Pinillos will flourish at league one level and have us challenging at the top.

Overall though, at this moment in time, the squad isn't good enough for this level. Even if we stay up it will be largely down to the crapness of others.

Lots of people wanted to give the new players a chance before a ball was kicked it and give it at least half a season before resigning themselves to what our fate will be. It’s certainly not been great this season, and for sure there are a number of players simply not good enough at this level, and jury is still out on others. I personally am still holding out on hope that there will be 3 worse teams than us. Or is that not allowed on here?

Wanting something to happen and believing it will happen are two different things. I want us to stay up as much as anyone but it doesn't change my opinion of these players.

It was bad. Could have been six or seven down at half-time. Clearly we were going to be in for a long season.

Yes. I want to see my club do badly just so I can say I was right to a group of people I have never met.
