Down. Can't see us going from two wins in twenty odd, to two wins in four that we will likely need. Our only good player doesn't belong to us and too many are so unfit they look like they could be sick on the pitch by the hour mark.
Up But as daft as it sounds it might be better to be relegated. There’s a change coming IMO and that change is going to be difficult to implement in the non forgiving Championship.
I think its actually 2 wins in the last 8 matches & being as we have netted in injury time in our last two home games I do not buy this unfit bit , however , I actually think we will drop , when you are struggling nothing seems to go right, as was proved with that shocking penalty given against us against Bolton . I have always said that you get what you deserve over 46 games & my opinion on that will not alter but lady luck can help , unfortunately , she has deserted us
It's also only 2 defeats in 6. But conversely since bearing Sunderland on new years day we have only won twice, both recently as you point out. It's too close to call. We could conceivably not win again and stay up. We could win twice and go down.
the main thing thats giving me hope is the heart they are showing. to come back from behind against utd and to get last minute draw against bolton after it looked like had f#+ked it up
Still defo in the staying up mindset.. We could even realistically stay up on 2 draws should Bolton / Birmingham continue to lose.
Stats wise, our win percentage is so poor that for us to win one, let alone two or more of our last 4 games would be impressive. But we've played so much better (Ipswich aside) recently against two sides pushing for the play offs and another one battling to stay up that I think we're capable of getting something against Leeds and Forest - plus Derby are in the middle of their annual collapse. The problem is the same as it's been all season though - waste chances to kill the game and then concede stupid goals to make it an uphill struggle. I don't see why that should change now. I think we'll go down but at least this time we can say the players have been trying their best, and I think we're in miles better shape to have a crack at League One than last time round when we had to ship out so many wasters and rebuild.
We were ďown the moment we filled the team with players who were not ready for championship football too many in at once... hindered all our chances of staying up.... the spread sheet at it's worse for me...
Not beating Bolton was it seems the last of our realistic chances to avoid the drop. We keep getting further chances, but others around us will start fighting for their lives. We are bottom 3 on merit.
