Yiadom in spite of himself and because no one else is near him. Sums up a bad, bad season. If only we'd got McBurnie last August.

There’s such an effect as the horn or the halo. It’s basically a way of understanding first impressions and how that sets our feelings about people we meet for ever.

Because On Lindsay’s first game at Oakwell almost his first pass was a 60 yard cross field pass that went straight to feet. From that moment the Halo effect was in full swing. The fact that he’s tried that pass 100 of times since without getting anywhere near the intended target or that we are shipping goals left right and centre, people still think he’s worth 20m and he’s better than Stones, Mawson and McCarthy all rolled in to one.

    He’s not.

    Exact opposite.

Because he can do that people completely ignore his defending.

Came on here after the Bristol & Norwich games where he was superb second half in both when we were defending leads & I was shocked no one else praised him.

No ones ever said he’s anywhere near as good Stones or Mawson, they’ve just said he’s a decent ball playing centre back & likely to make us a bit of money.

I've voted for Liam Lindsay. But then, I'm not as clever as other fans.:)

I think Lindsay's been a good player in a weak team with a midfield without any tenacity to help defend.

I'm stumped. Can't vote for a defender because as a unit they've conceded too many goals. Struggling to pick a midfielder as we've been chopping and changing all season and nobody has stood out over the majority of the season. The strikers are playing well but they've not been here long enough.

    Adam Hammill it is then.

Let's face it, had McBurnie been here all season, he'd have won it at a canter. However, he's only been here since January so for that reason, plus the fact he's only on loan and no chance of signing him (in my opinion), knowing full well he won't be here next season - I just cannot bring myself to vote for him.

I don't think Yiadom has been anywhere near as good as last season.

Jackson was injured for too long I think, otherwise he would have had a very good chance of winning it (maybe next season, Adam)

Williams, excellent first half of season. Don't know what happened 2nd half of season, but very poor. No chance for me.

Gardner has become a key player recently, again, shame he hasn't had the minutes.

For me, the only options are Hammill, Lindsay and Potts. Early in the season let's not forget Hammill was crossing for lone-target Bradshaw. Had we had Moore from the beginning, Adam's stats for assists would have been much better, I'm sure. For this, and his effort (plus he brings out my inner gay) he gets my vote.

Wow haha Adam Hammill you are surely joking and what’s the big thing about Potts these days he’s had about 4 good games since Jose came in and everyone thinks he’s a laiker both strong Candidates for worst two never mind best two as for Gardner he’s league 1 at best it’s Lindsay for me all day

Or Williams maybe don’t even think he was that poor second half the season Although I do think he was playing injured in his last 2-3 games which wouldn’t of helped
