So Bradshaw and McBurney are both taken to Leeds as Hecky aims to spend some serious money, but he is then replaced by Mick McCarthy and the deals fall through, or the players don't fit the new regime. I don't think the players will want to go there whilst there is any doubt lingering around about the management and Leeds will only back the boss they intend to be their manager for the whole of 2018-19. When Hecky moves on, would Bradshaw and McCarthy actually want to go to Rotherham, or Bradford City with him?
So firstly Leeds go after a manager who, since January 2017, had a win percentage of around 17%, and now apparently want a striker who's scored twice since November. Do they actually harbour any ambition of going back up to the Prem or are they just happy to perpetually take the piss out of their own fans?
Who is next on their list? Let me guess... Is it Adam Davies? Or is it Moncur? Or any other of heckinbottoms former players who have successfully taken us to the verge of relegation. Too daft to laugh at.
Seen it quite a bit on twitter, a few local papers from various areas, a Leeds forum, and some of those dodgy football sites.
Interesting. Wonder if it's just a case of the Hecky connection and it's built from that. Would hardly get you excited if you were a Leeds fan would it.
Let's be honest he was played up top on his own from January last season to December this with little or no service and is our top scorer this season. Hardly had a sniff since moore and mcburnie have come. Danny ward scored 12 for rotherham last season (quite a few pens too) and went for 2million to Cardiff when they went down. I wouldn't bet against someone coming for Bradshaw especially if we go down. Hope he stays I think him and moore would score for fun in league one.
Said it plenty of times on here, Leeds aren't the club that many on here think they still are. Bradshaw is probably a more realistic target for them than McBurnie. Its been 13 years since they finished higher than 7th in the Championship. Think they get a lot more credit than due because of fan base size and vocality.
Don't disagree I wouldn't be happy if was a fan of any championship side and we were targeting Bradshaw. In fact if we do stay up I think we should be replacing him.
I like Bradshaw and considering he was basically feeding off scraps from August to January, I think his goal record this season is decent. If we do go down I’d fully expect championship teams to be in for him.
Not quite championship standard unfortunately, honest laiker that puts 100% effort in but doesnt have any sort of cutting edge or that little bit of quality needed in this division. You could say that about the majority of our team.
Bradshaw’s not good enough to be a regular starter for a side at this level wanting to challenge for promotion he is however good enough to be a squad player who starts the occasional game & regularly comes off the bench.
You say that but Leon Clarke wouldn’t have featured on anyone’s list of regular starters or indeed squad players at Championship level and just look at the season he has had. It’s often horses for courses and there’s no reason why Bradshaw couldn’t succeed here or elsewhere given the right support, a system that favours him and the requisite confidence in front of goal.
^^This^^ I can only imagine he'd go to pick up the cheque and sit on the bench, I think if we stay up I'd be happy for him to go, if we go down I'd want him to stay as he's probably not Championship standard.
I think if he had been playing all season up front with the likes of Moore his goal tally would be more fruitful , in the last couple of weeks the fitness levels of our players seems to have come under scrutiny by the critics , well thats one thing you cannot label against Bradshaw , he always gives 100 % & his fitness levels are up to Championship levels . Considering how he has been messed around this season with various systems, his goal return is not bad & used better I am sure he would do the business. I would like think that what ever division we are in next season , Tom Bradshaw is a player we need to hang on to
