This is where we hope the next manager isnt actually a great success. Hopefully the vociferous Arsenal fans saying they will be better off without him will get an unpleasant surprise
Exactly this. Got a lot of time for Wenger - he tried to play the right way and has bought them lots of success over the years. Hope he bows out with the Europa League.
Easy to forget that Wenger has been a revolutionary in the English game. When he arrived at Arsenal he was the only non English or Scottish manager in the top league and no club captains were “foreign” either. He was derided and belittled by the press but not for long though. His methods on the pitch and in training were completely new and created a blueprint for others to follow.
The Arsenal fans who are moaning about him do not know they are born. They will struggle without him unless they get some serious investment.
They’re the richest club in the world cash wise , mr Wenger has treated the money as though it’s his own and fair play to him . Hope he wins the europa league to go out in style because he deserves it . I do think Arsenal are ready for a change though as they’ve stagnated and we all know how that feels . UTR
Been a great gaffer for them, probably stayed a year or two too long. Believes in 'proper' football and not being screwed by agents ( although still not sure how much of that is him and how much the Arse board). Hope the ungratefukl barsteward fans get off his back now and give him a dignified send off! Mind if he misses football too much and wants to wind down gradually, i would like to point out to him that we play in red and white so he wouldn't notice too much of a difference
Great manager and deserves a lot of credit. These last couple of years have soured a bit for him, even though they’ve still had some FA Cup wins! When I first started really being fascinated by football, he had the invincibles with Henry, Vieira, Pires, Ljungberg, Bergkamp, Ashley Cole, etc and it was great to watch.

Agree. Just finished reading a biography on his time at Arsenal. A truly great manager and man manager. He has his detractors of course, the main one on Twitter is Piers Morgan who has relentlessly campaigned for Wengers removal. Him and his other detractors will be rejoicing to-day, but the saying " be careful what you wish for," readily springs to mind in this case. Hope he goes on to enjoy success wherever he goes in the future.
Yes they are ! Fact ! Cash in the bank is more than any other club including Man City Barcelona etc NO DEBT stadium paid for and make more money in tickets and hospitality than any other club in the country !
Very good decision to announce it now. All the fans that were on his back should get behind him & the team & they could lift the Europa Cup, which would be a good way to exit. Legendary manager that has built the club up the right way, but probably should have called it a day 3-4 years back.
