Any advice for tomorrow, I'm taking my lad 11 yrs old to his first away game tomorrow other than Wembley, I'm driving and would like to get him in and out with as little grief as possible. Do we park at the ground / best time etc. Thanks I don't want to put him off and minimise risk of idiots.

You'll be absolutely fine mate. We park in big car park behind our end. Exit M621, drive straight past ground on your right and turn right into car parks,

Can't get back that way though. All traffic is sent towards ring road after the game as far as I know.

It'll be fine, honestly. There's loads of gravel car parks right next to the ground, think it was a fiver when I last drove there but don't quote me on that! I've never seen trouble at Elland Road, there's a big police station within about 200 yards of the football stadium.

Taking my 12 year old too, and the quid ticket fully justifies the £39 for us 'favva's'.
I've took him to loads of 'safe' away days, but have come to the conclusion that all away days are safe. Those who look for trouble will find it, but otherwise, never had a bad experience. In fact never been anything other than welcomed by opposition fans when We go as a lad'n'dad combo.
I am, however, going to be brave and park Behring The Peacock (Leeds' fans equivalent of The Mount but bigger) and even meet a Leeds fan mate of mine in there, so it's neutral dress code and Jimmy Savile accents for us tomorrow. :)

Ah, last year was the first year I didn't go since moving here. Decided then that I wasn't going to pay those prices anymore.

Yes but that's late teens/early 20s chest puffing bravado.
Again, if you want it, you will find it. But it is very easy to avoid the aggro.

Last time I went Elland Road was when Trippier scored that free kick. Was an evening match. Parked in Holbeck. But after match saw Leeds fans set upon a parked car, smashing windows. Assuming it must have been displaying something to identify it was from Barnsley.

From what I could see, some of our lot were goading the home fans from around the coaches.
