Morais is a dead man walking, rightly or wrongly For me he is an easy target as the bewildered fan base struggle to come to terms with where we are at and how we fit here.
He is the first Manager I have ever judged so quickly. It is nothing to do with our squad, it is nothing to do with who we sold 18 months ago, it is nothing to do with how our last manager left us. For me it is purely because I think he talks utter nonsense, messes around with formations and team selections, seems to have no idea of his preferred 11, and has lost/drawn winnable matches against Bolton and Burton that would have seen us safe. I personally think that if Clough or Parkinson had our squad (never mind a McCarthy, Warnock or Wilder) then they would have kept us up. A good manager can enhance the sum of all parts. That is what we needed. On a side note Callum Elder has just been promoted playing 22 times in a team who smashed league 1. There are no excuses for whoever takes over if we go down.
We have carried on at almost virtually the same points per game that we had under Hecky. The change in manager has made i difference to results. We are scoring more regularly but also conceding more. League one will be his real test if he stays.
