Then i dont know what will. Its time the billionaires in charge got real. They want success then they have to pay for it. The re-building job is massive for me in the summer and they cannot afford to piss about anymore on unproven punts, they need quality and pay for it accordingly. If not, i fear a double drop to league 2 is firmly on the cards next season.

Firstly there needs to be a framework of experienced people in place to identify the right players to sign and we need a clear out of players who have probably got 1 or 2 years left on decent contracts.
It's gonna be a massive job.

No no ......... and no !!!
Forget the journey men that are just there for the loads of money.
We need to stick to bringing young players in and developing them.
Obviously this needs to be done carefully - and not by appointing a full squad of new recruits after a fire sale - which has just happened.

I cant see them spending. Going back to the championship wont repay any investment. Moneyballing in league 1 might.

Then I must ask, why buy the club if they don’t want footballing success? It’s absolutely barmy!

You can have financial success off the field of play without been successful on it these days.

A mix of youth and experience is needed imo and a experienced recruitment guy in place to bring in the players, not just relying on a spreadsheet.

Do we seriously think the fifth richest consortium in english football have bought the club so they can make 5 million here and there on players we've plucked out of non league?

Bang on ! A couple of million made on players might have been ok for PC but for these guys it’s a drop in the ocean ! Mr Lee & Parek have the financial muscle to buy our way out of the third division . FFP ? Who gives a fook about it ? Nobody adheres to it anyway . Blackburn Rovers over a hundred million pounds in debt could still outbid us for players . Some on here will say “ we’ll we’re only Barnsley only a small club” with respect that’s ******** there are smaller clubs than us that take the piss with spending so why not us ? And don’t give me all that ***** about jeopardising the future of the club , the ONLY way this club will move forward is to spend some serious money ! Over to you messrs Lee , Conway and parek !!!!

They could have made three decent signings of intent in january ie a decent goaly experienced midfielder like leadbitter and a frontline striker a la Fletcher but no. Thats the John stones bonus money chucked away now
