If we’d have done any of the following we’d have survived comfortably this season, why we didn’t is beyond me. This wasn’t a difficult task but it was made impossible mainly by the previous board:
    - signed Morsy when we had the chance
    - offered Scowen a proper contract
    - signed a proper keeper
    - not sold Roberts
    - sorted McBurnie in the summer (or signed anyone rather than running Bradshaw into the ground for 6 months)
    - got these players properly fit so they can play more than an hour a week

This season has been a shambles from start to finish and we all know we’re only in with a chance due to the incompetence of others around us. Really frustrating that it was so easily avoidable.

You forgot to add the scatergun signing policy of having loads of attacking midfielders that then get loaned out or don't make squads.
How much money has been wasted there ?

I'd especially agree with the signings of Moncur and Mowett. They seemed odd choices at the time for the formation we were playing as neither were a direct fit for what would presumably have been Hourihane's replacement in a straight 4-4-2.

Hourihane and maybe Winnall leaving was fair enough. Scowen though? If we had paid him what he had earned and deserved we would have saved a lot of money from guys like Knasmullner, Mcgeehan, Williams and Gardner. Selling a defender in January to a relegation rival ignited their season. Bringing in Mourhiho's bag carrier. Most of us said last summer we would be like Rotherham this season. If fans can see the huge catalogue of mistakes being made, it begars belief business people can't.

one of the worst signings I can remember! (and I have no idea what standard he is) signings in January have to be A) positions you need filling IMMEDIATELY so for us GK, LB, CDM, ST and B) ready to go straight away, it's not the time to be signing a project player who takes 6 months to bed in

what has happened to knasmuller I mean who is he I think he is a figment of my imagination.
He was supposed to be the saviour of the club all he has done and he isn't alone in this is take a wage from our club he hasent contributed at all towards the club so why do we have players on the books earning decent wages and costing transfer fee,s
who we don't play and we ve made more changes this year than the trafic lights on dodworth rd and he still cant get a game.lets face it if they cant get into our side at the moment they must be pretty bad

shame the consortium had not taken over about a month before the January window. They may have got some players in to save us.

Very true, I was trying to limit it to the things we could easily have done which would have pretty much guaranteed survival.

There's loads of others like what you said, not appointing a complete unknown, not taking 6 months to get a CEO etc etc

Completely agree. Winnall and Hourihane were never going to stay, Bree would have left anyway and I don't ever think Watkins was likely to stay. Scowen, Roberts and MacDonald (who has shown he's miles better with a good player at the side of, ie Roberts here and Dawson at Hull) were a different story. Don't forget that we tried to sell Yiadom as well in the summer so they were happy to get rid of even more than they had in January.

Theres so many own goals that we've scored here through rank bad management and bad decision making, its really quite disgraceful to be honest how badly our club have been run into the ground.
Shame on ALL of those who have played a part in it.
