The two commentators and Parker all said how disjointed we were, looking like strangers who had never played together and didn't know their roles in the team.
I suppose the phrase "headless chickens" comes to mind.
They also noted the apparent lack of effort by the players in such an important game leading them to wonder if they actually wanted to be there.
I hope their reaction will help resolve our problem even if that means changes from the top down because I imagine that P and G tonight will be quite fruity.

As far as I’m concerned,we should have kept PH 2 in the job till end of season I am sure he would have done a better job and saved a shed full of cash in the process, then if he wasn’t up to it recruit a new manager in the summer.

I listened o the radio to Rad. Sheff and yes the match commentators noted the apparent lack of desire to fight for every ball and cohesion between the players and how the players didn't gel or know their own role either. When asked about the changes to team personal, Jose Morais was his usual vague self about tiredness of some players.
The same vagueness he expressed when he explained the 'duel' incident I training or as some might say 'punch up' which spoke volumes for unity and team spirit.

I agree in hindsight yeah but can you imagine the reaction of fans if we'd have kept with Harsley? Everyone would've gone nuts!

Clear (imho) that he cannot organise or motivate his players.
I hear and see things that make me realise he was a poor appointment for this bunch of players and our club in genral.

The trouble is, no matter what the fans think of the management staff and playing staff right now, does anybody at Oakwell take notice? I for one feel flustered and disallusioned as I feel we have had ample opportunity to get ourselves out of this relegation situation and fallen at every hurdle.

Yeah but if he would have done well then who cares? The board have set them selves up for a bucket load of criticism by going for the 'trendy' Portuguese option.

Joe Morris was the wrong appointment, we should have gone with Harsley or Jack The Jock, but hindsights a wonderful thing. Getting it right next time is a must, Harsley would be my choice.

@Spuggy True but like I'm trying to say, the board were in a lose lose situation. If they'd appointed from within theyd have been criticised hugely for lack of ambition etc. if we were where we are at now, if they appoint externally then it's a gamble. Hindsight is great!

The board now needs foresight and replace Jose with someone who knows league 1 and how to get out of it(preferably upwards that is). Jose has never been at any club very long according to his cv. If the board do back him I fear the fans won't. Plus it is about time we knew who exactly signed some of these players. The headcoach at the time, the CEO. Who exactly? Will Jose choose them. As usual the fans are kept I the dark.

yeah I agree hindsight is all good and well, when he came in there was a fair few sceptics but I'd say the slight majority were excited, we would have kicked off with Harsley as many didn't know much about him, maybe different if Bobby or someone had been involved too, I just think we went with the wrong guy and we should have gone tried and tested ex Championship level manager and we may just have stayed up, the Hull, Bristol and Bolton games were all there for the taking, and a few other games we could have had more points as well

His track record as a manager was hardly praise worthy prior to his arrival.

    Poor appointment.

His position at the club has become that of a dead man walking.

Lost the fans and appears to have lost the dressing room.

I remember a match in the distant past where the team played like they did last night. It was away at Oxford in the final match of the 1996/97 season.

For a first time in a long time I was reasonably impressed with Radio Sheffield last night. Where as I usually sense a lack of interest in our games, the commentary team seemed genuinely frustrated and bewildered at how poor we were. That says it all for me. The interview with Morais was a lot more targeted than I'd expected as well.

Buchan gave a wonderful Paxman style interview. He spoke like he was one of us and didn't let Morais settle at all. In fact Jose was like a lamb to slaughter as he didn't know what to say.
