Again where is the source that we've said Bradshaw can leave in the summer? The article just says Reading are interested in him. It doesn't say we want shut and false rumours are going to create even more drama.
Not bad hey! Should clarify. 80 of his games coming at championship level. Given the step up between L1 and championship I thought it would be considered when valuing an asset. Although contract length is less for Bradshaw than Marriot I think.
I will renew this season but if that's what we are still doing selling Bradshaw for say 1.5 million so we make a 900k profit then sign someone for 400k from league 2 and hope they can "make the step up" I'm done with it. The excuse for buying unproven championship was we can't afford the wages but Bradshaw has 12months left and will score for fun in league one and promotion at the end could be worth 6 million. Ffs barnsley grow a pair.
I don't believe a word of it. Paper talk as usual towards the end of season. We lose Oli which already leaves us needing another striker in the summer. I think Thiam will go before Bradshaw probably by his own choice.
The plan is alive and well. Both him and Moncur enter their final year of contract. So if they've indicated they'll not sign an extension, then away they must go. Good business sense... But a poor football decision for me. Bradders would have been a excellent L1 striker ...
Perhaps one of our relegation rivals is being a little mischievous and trying to ‘unsettle’ us. As if they needed to.
If he wants to stay then I would say keep him. If he wants championship football because he thinks he has more international chances then fine, let him go. But for the right price. If any championship club wants him, then put a price on him (personally at least £2m-£3m in this market) and identify a proven goalscorer who is either out of contract, or has done well in L1 this season. Moore has proven he can score. So if we add a couple more - 1 replacement if Bradshaw goes and a backup. Then we have Thiam, Jacob Brown, Adebadajo and Hedges who may or may not step up over the next season. Look at some of L1 top scorers if you look at minutes per goals for those playing over 20 games: 1) Will Grigg 126 minutes (18 goals) 2)Kieffer Moore 132 minutes (13 goals) 3)Jack Marriott 147 minutes (26 goals) 4) Stefan Payne 159 minutes (11 goals) Other notable names on the list: devante cole (10@217mins/goal), Craig Davies (11@251) and Ivan Toney (10@195) There will be no excuses if we go down in my opinion. You can be a star at League 1 level and find the championship a huge step up. See Jason McCarthy. POTY for Walsall and one of the best right backs in the league. Pinnock, Lindsey and Jackson will look formidable at that level when they are defending against John Marquis, Ian Henderson and Tom Eaves as opposed to Mateja Vidra, Lee Tomlin, Diego Jota etc. The step between L1 and championship is growing every year. With the loss of revenue no longer (provided the owners invest) threatening our long term future, we should be able to retain a good core, let some go who either don’t want to stay or attract higher interest, and bring some really good talent in. I’ll not mention the manager. But whoever is in charge will have a great platform and no where to hide. We can probably all move on from January 2017 as well. Probably.
It's Sky making a article. How do they know it? Let's say it's true why would our board not tell us first? Maybe Radio Sheffield can ask Jose if it's true.
Hope your right hope we don't just sell Bradshaw and anyone else to make a quick few quid profit. Look at Wigan last season kept will grigg went back up Blackburn kept danny Graham went straight back up. We should of kept Payne looking back now.
Its getting around to that time of the year when agents start earning their corn , there will be rumours galore as the weeks go by, with agents & managers unsettling players & lazy journalists scouring the forums for any old rumour to print, & yet a lot of fans cling to every bit of gossip/speculation as the clamour for signings kicks in
Not a test for the owners if he's been told he can leave...why would the owners fight to keep a player that they want to get shut of?!
IF it's true AND they've told other players they can leave as well - it could explain the recent lack of fight/enthusiasm on the pitch and mass player changes, maybe?
trouble is that none of the owners know about football never mind English football and certainly not 3rd teer football we either need a manager who has been there and done it or a director of football who can advise because I'm sure that in league one theres no fancy football just hard working kicking and scrapping and they don't play that in any league that the current management and board have had dealings with
If we go down Bradshaw and Moore would score goals in league one. I'd be getting rid of a few of these attacking midfielders and find 2 that can boss the middle of the park. 4-4-2 for us promoted last time and for me i'td be the best way to go it's the formation the fans want to see. If we were to stay up I'd let him go and search elsewhere for a replacement
With such little knowledge of football it makes you wonder how they got a club in the Champion's League.
