I thought he had a cracking second half, ive been critical of his dead ball kicks but the effort he put in was admirable
Hammill was very clever. He saw the board he went as far away from the dugout as he could.Took ages to go off the pitch to kill the game off.He knew what he was doing.
It seemed like a last goodbye to me too but as others have said, I’d definitely keep him. He may not have the goal and assist stats this year that we’d all have hoped for but he gives absolutely everything for the shirt. Him playing more centrally might be a new position for him too you never know.
That role in the middle suited better than being wide imo Think it might be his new position if he stays , too old now for chasing down wing lol
I agree and he played really well in Midfield today. If we go down he still has it to terrorise defences if we stay up I’d keep him as a squad player at least. Hope he is offered a new deal
Looked just like he wanted to milk the applause after a good game. Probably could have got off the pitch much quicker, so the four minutes given didn't have to be added on to.
Granted he’s developed into a top pro, but not a championship level player anymore for me. I’m sure he’d do a job in league 1, but he’d have to take league 1 money.
Best performance in the number 10 roll by any player this season, both in attack and defence. His ding-dong battle with Ryan Woods, who usually pulls the strings for Brentford but wasn't given room to fart, was the highlight of the game. Hammill won the battle and we won the game.
