Your decision and your right obviously, but you missed an absolute cracker today. Every player put in a huge shift; any number of motm candidates. Great atmosphere, only spoiled by the selfish, brain-dead cnuts who ignored the warnings about staying off the pitch. If I was in charge, they'd be arrested and banned from Oakwell. Families on there with kids, ffs. You're a ******* disgrace. Again it meant the players coming out to a quarter-full stadium because many fans couldn't wait for the retards to be moved from the pitch.

They do it year after year. I have never bothered to wait for the players to return. I don't buy a season ticket to watch these retards on the pitch.

I can understand all the schoolkids going on, but there was a middle aged bloke with a very young kid that he was encouraging to run across the pitch.

If they're going to do it every year let's make it part of the matchday enjoyment and tazer all those that are old enough to know better

I can't. Why would you do that just because you're at school??

There was a blonde adult woman in red trackie top who should have known better too. I agree with banning them all from Oakwell as it would show we are finally serious about it and maybe in future seasons others won't risk it, so people stay at full time instead of not seeing the point in it.

I wish totally that I could attend on a regular basis Mate, but I simply cannot. I miss it so bad too , no matter how well or how bad it is. Barnsley are still so ingrained in my heart. We grumble we moan , we exalt we cheer. But no matter what end of the Pendulum swing we are on we still love. In a couple of years certain investments come home to roost and not only that I will qualify for the OAP concession. I cannot wait . But no matter what level we play in when all that comes about it will in no way put me off.... and TBH even now I am pondering a new ST for next season. Been several years since my last ST but I am now feeling it can be feasible again .

But as for the pitch encroachers I have to agree that they are not on. I have done it in my time , but that was only when we beat Bradford and sealed our first ever season in the Top tier... and who could not have resisted that.

What about the fat lovely person in glasses slowly walking across the pitch in front of the Ponty, actually applauding the fans!?! Ponty gave him a very targeted 'paedo, paedo' chant.

We used to run on the pitch after most games back in the Clarke and Hunter era. It was the norm.

Would I do it now? No. Do I condone it? No, but kids aren't adults. They don't think the same and are impressed by different things.

If they're old enough to attend on their own they're old enough to know right from wrong.
If they aren't old enough to attend on their own their parents should be banned

Tried watching Sky Sports - but I couldn’t even face that.
Sat in the garden for an hour.
Too stressful for me all this.

I don't get all this angst about kids running on the pitch. Yes, fair enough it is not what they are supposed to do but it happens every year and always will. The stewards deal with it well and slowly march a line up the pitch to herd them back off - job done. I don't condone it but I suspect a lot of us did it when we were kids and I am not of a mind to shoot them or ban them or whatever. Its just not something I am going to get uptight about.

As for the suggestion that it meant that the stands were only a quarter full by the time the team came back out, I suspect that had less to do with the fact that some kids got on the pitch and a lot more to do with the fact that despite todays win a lot of people weren't going to hang about to applaud a team who have given us a god awful season and who might still be relegated.

At the end of the game I was stood at the edge of the West stand closest to to the ponty end . To a man , women and child who filed off the pitch went straight out of the ground without turning round to see the players come back out . All they wanted was 5 minutes of self centred selfies that the brain dead sub class crave . If you are a grown man or woman and went on the pitch you spoiled the occasion for the 99% who stayed in the stands . You should be ashamed you selfish ******** .

I'd have stayed, but had to get my lad back home before his shift at work. If the nobheads had stayed in their seats, we'd have just had time to see the players come back on, but no. It's just selfish.

Just as we got the selfish tw@ts off the pitch and the players came back out they got within twenty yards of the Ponty and they all ran back on again. Selfish tw@ts ruined it again just like they do every year.

If running on the pitch is a criminal offence every other game why do we have to put up with this nonsense every final home game.

Great performance by every single player during the game.

I didn't hang around either - can't stand this ludicrous charade at the end of every season. I wanted to get to the box office anyway so I could get my season ticket renewed which, thank goodness, I managed quite quickly.

Before setting off though I watched the hordes charging onto the pitch and one brain-donor in particular (tallish guy, certainly not a kid) charged straight for the middle of the line of stewards and tried to get through. He made a kicking gesture towards the Brentford fans, as if he was dying to get amongst them for some action. Why?

its my daughters first season. She's 8. She asked what all the stupid people were running onto the pitch for.

We didn't stay to wait for the players to come back out.

i wouldn't use a tazer for those running on the pitch - it'd be a snipers rifle.
