I wonder how many people on here have close family members who support other teams (is it Fired's other half who supports Wednesday)?

Whilst myself and my two youngest sons are avid Reds fans (no mean feat in Cambridge when all their schoolmates support Arsenal etc), my eldest son supports Bolton where he was born, and my daughter in law supports Burton (her dad is a season ticket holder there) but has a soft spot for the Reds as she has a part time job at Oakwell - ironically.

Sadly, 2 out of those 3 teams are likely to get relegated on Sunday.

I've supported the Reds for 37 years, my Son supported Leeds till he saw the light and asked if he could come to Oakwell with me aged about 12, he's even got Toby Tyke tattooed on his leg.

My brother supported Wolves as a kid, but now prefers Rugby Union and has little interest in football.

My dad’s a Leeds fan and took me to bellend Road as a kid. I phoned childline but apparently it wasn’t enough to get him banged up.

Married in to a family from the dark side of Leeds.

The scumbag even managed to get the dj at our wedding to play marching on together when I nipped out to the bogs.

Was very nearly the shortest marriage ever.

My youngest grandson (8) said he liked Liverpool. I asked if they would buy birthday and Christmas presents. You have to be cruel to be kind!

It's not quite the same but I once worked on a project with a guy who supported River Plate and his wife (well her Dad and brothers) supported Boca Juniors.

Myself and my lad are the only attending football fans in our family.

No football fans in my immediate family and some of the other halves lot are armchair Liverpool and Man United, so I don't count them.

Our lasses mate is from Sheffield and was a Wendys fan growing up, so our Dan and me have designated our lass our resident dee dar just so she doesn't feel left out.

My dad, bless him, got me into Barnsley by asking me out of the blue when he came home from work if I wanted to go see them get promoted from the 4th division against Grimsby in 1979. So that was my first game.

However, he was a Derby County fan himself, which came from the fact that his dad was a Derby fan. Why, I have no idea as to my knowledge neither had any historical or family connection with Derby whatsoever.

I haven't heard the name "Nannan" for years and years. That was what I called my mum's mum. Great memories!
