I did originally say folk would be inconvenienced, so understood some may have problems or would have to alter their daily routine.
Surely he sets off for work way before the roads are shut and presumably gets back when they are open again. The no parking thing is only whilst the race is coming through. There were loads parked in Penistone last year who shifted their cars a few hours before the race.

Young lass who went to school with my lad, competing in her 2nd Women's TdY ............. got round in the main bunch, averaged 23.2 MPH for the 80 odd mile stage. One to watch hopefully, managed a cheeky moment on the telly box too.
What Gary Verity has done over the last 10 years in promoting Yorkshire,is nothing less than fantastic. If we ever need a non political Mayor in the future,may I suggest Gary. He has done far more than any government to promote and create wealth in this county.
That's exactly what I said . Some schools were going to the metrodome and thought there would be too much disruption likewise to Cannon Hall. Also I think some schools wanted to see the race therefore cancelled trips . Anyway were about 2 grand poorer , on the bright side I get a bit of a lay in and early finish . Every cloud .
I hope nobody's fly tipping in wombwell woods, them fridges and old sofas are a nightmare to swerve .

Went through my village at 2:40(ish) and the pub is still buzzing, the beer garden is packed and people have been out all day. I suspect this will be there best days takings in ages. I'm working with my French doors open and there's a real buzz around the place. Yeah it's ****.
