Is there any possibility....

of the Huddersfield game everyone stands in the centre circle during injury time if results elsewhere suit both us and Derby? Or was that just a complete one off that comes around every hundred years

 

If Preston are winning 3-0, Bolton are.losing by 2 and we're drawing then that's a possibility. Think Derby have much better GD than Preston.

A draw is enough for us if Bolton & Burton fail to win.

Goal difference means a draw is realistically enough for Derby.

 

There’s no possibility, we both want to win the game

 

But Preston aren’t going to overturn a 9 goal deficit so realistically a draw is good enough for Derby.

However, I do think both teams will be going for the win.

 

Both teams were going for the win at Huddersfield in 2013, until the injury time scoreline at Crystal Palace changed the situation. The same could happen again if the scorelines elsewhere dictate it.

 

Hopefully not. Wouldn't want us to risk our survival again. It worked out last time, but had Posh got another goal we would have been asking questions as to why we stopped trying to get a winner.

 

I see it like this. If derby play within 85% of their capabilities then they win the game choose how we play. We’re both in the positions we are for a reason.
However, nerves will affect the mindset of everyone with owt to play for throughout the league on Sunday so I believe anything goes. Again though, this may work for or against us but I reckon in this particular situation the **** it attitude of youth will work in our favour.
Of course I may be full of **** but we’ll find out soon enough chaps.
What I have learnt though is that checking the league table every 7 minutes isn’t helping my mental state.

 

The other thing which I have based my optimism on over the past few weeks is that we’re still having a cart load of shots.

that's a good point! younger players tend to have no game management, there was a lot of experience playing that day

I have to say though final day is like no other game of the season as all teams playing at same time and scores coming through via the crowd really does mess with players heads and then causes bursts where the intensity will change

 

yeah but if you remember the start of that game it was end to end both teams going at it, only when other results start dripping in changes players mindset
