That's not what I said. If you believe Gauthier Ganaye has been given complete control of the club, that these billionaires have said "right, here's the keys, get on with it", then you're absolutely right to blame him. However the CEO is there to run the business, file the books, pay the taxes, sign the corporate deals, and pinning the appointment of Morais on him alone is pretty naive.

The CEO carrys the can for success on and off the pitch. As we’ve massively regressed he deserves to go too.

All that was needed was to appoint a short term experienced manager ala phil brown until summer to galvanize the squad. The appointment of jm was poor given the situation we were in and a six million pound gamble that's backfired now despite i think our attacking play picked up overall.

The same Mansford who had been CEO for 12 months when we were relegated last time?

Calm yourself, hes made one mistake in hiring Morais. The writing has been on the wall long before Morais came in.

He appointed a manager that failed.

If he does it again, then questions should be asked, but this is his first misfire.

Player recruitment is down to the manager, GG just handles the contract negotiations.

Player recruitment is not down to the manager.

    Oh, you mean "the spreadsheet"?

The spreadsheet identifies players that would normally be overlooked by normal scouting methods, the manager still has final say on whether we go for them or not. Heckingbottom said as much while he was here.

Again, GG doesn't select targets, just negotiates the contracts.

Of all the blame going around I honestly thing GG is coming in for some unfair flak.

The same Mansford who came in when a club was in turmoil.
You think Hecky wanted a million number tens and one legitimate striker? Sure he said they hadnt even seen knasmullner before he signed too.

but was it just him that was responsible for hiring j.m, or was it the owners or a panel of interviewers, same with players does he just turn up on the training ground and say " look what I've bought for you?. or is he given a list of players and told toget them, and if he cant get them then get this one or this one ?

We can only go on what Hecky said, and he stated categorically that he had final say on transfers.

Final say yes. If you have three awful options though, it doesn’t really matter who has the final say.

Potts, Lindsay, Fryers, Pinnilos, Thiam, Ugbo, Mccarthy. Garbage.
