To be fair, out of the three sides, Bolton were the one you'd have gambled on winning, obviously it wasn't a straight forward one...can't knock Forest either as it looked like they were still desperate for an equaliser right to the end despite the result meaning nothing to them. Us winning today was probably a 1 in 5 shot at best given Derby needed to win, indeed if we'd have beaten them they wouldn't be in the play-offs. If they were in 10th with nothing to play for maybe we'd have had a chance.
Our plan of ‘just turn up and hope’ and ‘pray other teams don’t turn up for their games either’ failed at the final hurdle. I’m Amazed it got us to within 45 mins of survival to be honest.
I always hoped we could win at Derby Not for one minute did I expect us to win. The team everybody thought would win out of the three did win . The seasons results relegated not today’s games
