With absolutely no basis 18th. I did however at the end of January that the season total would be 58 points.
I've been thinking this for the last 2 or three weeks but have'nt had the balls to say it to anyone or post it on here. Our pre season almost mirrors theirs this time last year, targets we are missing out on have ended up signing for other championship clubs, our best players are leaving and our squad is ridiculously thin. Hope i'm wrong but it stinks of a miserable season that we all want top be over come april.
I said a few weeks ago that I don't believe we'll be this season's Rotherham, nor do I believe we'll be this season's Newcastle. Based on the quality of Paul Heckingbottom & his coaching staff when it comes to improving individual players and creating a team, I'll predict we'll finish in a similar position to last season (two or three places either way).
17th tough season but we'll survive. Think a lot of people forget how bad some of the teams are at the bottom of this league and it looks poorer at the bottom this year than last with Bolton and Millwall coming up and Burton looking poor.
Right now I'd have to say relegated & go 23rd. Even if the new lads turn out good it'll take them months to get up to speed. Our midfields got nothing to it, any solid outfit will run straight through us, Bradshaw doesn't look up to this level & Hecky clearly doesn't rate Payne. Again, it all depends on signings, if we get 4 or 5 good ones in then things could be different but right now this side is not good enough to stay up
Impossible at the mo to predict, not seen newbies dunt know if they will gel or if they have the reight attitude to cope in this League. Ask me in a month. Hoping to God that Roberts aint going to be a big miss this season.
I think our saving grace is that we won't be starting the season with Alan Stubbs in charge, we shouldn't have to deal with big time Charlie's like Dexter Blackstock, and we won't have a saga like they did with Kenny Jacket and the head of recruitment issue.
Some impressively accurate predictions in this thread. And then there's @BobT 's *Sorry Bob. See you in August!
