The plan DID NOT see us relegated!!! The plan is to identify and recruit lower league or young players and develop them. Indications are that plan will be rolled out on the continent. What got us relegated was the inability of Patrick and the board to sort out players contracts after the Wembley play off final in 2016. Hence most players contracts coming up for grabs all at the same time. Foooking RIDICULOUS !!! The plan is to recruit a few and sell a few. The plan is NOT to sell nearly a full team and then start all over again - like what happened last season and at the beginning of this season.
End of the day im sure the owners will be assessing all positions all of the time but gg will stay for now. When he gets wind its going pear shaped no doubt he'll line a new job up before firstly.
I’m expecting to hear something from the club tomorrow, or later this week. Today is bank holiday Monday after all. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if we have our new man in place by the end of week.
I hope they take a bit of time and get the right bloke. All the players will be jetting off for a few weeks now so can't see any immediate need to get someone in. They may just let the dust settle before they do anything.
I don't doubt what you say at all, but I renewed weeks ago and I still get loads of emails and the odd text about renewing. I've not got a clue about how the system works, but at first sight it seems it could do with a tweak.
If I’m guessing I would say the manager has already been appointed by now and has been for a couple of weeks - with the club just waiting for the right time to announce it. I cannot see it being any manager mentioned on here - or indeed any manager from the UK.
If they appoint another foreigner that no one's heard of, then I'd be a bit worried that they have learned nothing. This is league one were in now. It doesn't need over complicating. We need someone that knows the league and what's required to be competitive.
I don't think we need someone who neccessarily knows the league, i think people get too hung up on that- look at Santo at Wolves (yes he had cash but still needs to put it all together). Someone with a good track record would be good though. I'd rather have someone such as McClaren than a high profile recently retired ex player or some random albanian fourth league fitness coach who once bumped into Pep Guardiola on holiday.
