Glen Kamara - Defensive midfielder at Dundee, looks very tidy.

Alex Gersbach - Aussie left back playing for Rosenborg in Norway.

    Crack on GG.

Do you not think that Fryers and Pinillos are good enough at L1 level? I’d rather we didn’t completely overhaul the entire squad if possible and that’s certainly a position that we’re covering on paper.

Pinillos has been another horrible signing, Fryers is poor technically but great athlete, with a good coach he could be useful at L1

I think they are good enough for L1 yeah, but in the event that we get promoted this coming season I think it’d be good to layer in some new young players and get them up to speed before attacking the championship again.

Rather than wait til next year to buy a left back with potential, let’s buy him this year and let him develop at L1 ready for the Champ.

I guess I just want us to think more long term and not be relying on 27 year old Pinillos running in slow motion.

Pinillos was a desperation signing. Don’t imagine he came cheap either. Perhaps he’ll want a move back to Spain and we can agree to part ways. Or hopefully he was one with a relegation release clause. Would let Cavare go as well. Good player in there. Somewhere. But he’s a liability and didn’t seem to arsed about the championship, let alone league 1.

Full back wise Pearson, McCarthy, Fryers and a new left back will be a cracking set at League 1 level. Young Ben Williams should get a chance too. When Callum Elder is a promotion standard left back I don’t think we need to panic too much!

I want players who in 12 months time are good enough for when we hopefully get straight back up. Both those aren't good enough in the championship and I don't think a season in league 1 will make them both better in the championship, at the second time of asking. Therefore big squad changes.

Agree. Think a season in League 1 for some players will help them get championship ready. Walton, McCarthy, Pearson, Lindsey, Pinnock, Jackson, Mallan, Hedges, McGeehan, Moore, Isgrove all have the potential (in my terrible opinion) to be championship players of differing levels if they have a full season, with top coaching, playing winning football. Not sure about Potts, Moncur, Bradshaw. But think they could be important L1 players

Also League 1 May give more chances to Williams, Mottley-Henry, Bird, Victor and Brown to show if they are ready for first team football. Much better than throwing them into a bottom end championship team.

After a season in league 1 I think we will have a bunch of great players ready for the step up to Championship..

Problem being by then most of the players who signed 3 year deals will be running into their last year... de ja vu anybody? Hahah!

I’d be very surprised if we are linked again with these player - or, and importantly, players of this level of ability again.

I’m expecting highly talented young players - mostly from the continent - like we saw last summer - but for some reason they didn’t sign.
So why didn’t they sign ???
I think there is a story there.

And - has the club been able to establish a scouting network - or are we reliant on Nice FC for this ???

I think people are getting ahead of themselves, let's worry about getting promoted & then worry about the championship
