And in his post match interview, he's just said he's happy with the away point....... In a play-off match
Thankfully it’s not a prerequisite for footballers to have any intelligence - as many wouldn’t have had a career over the years I don’t think. Ryan Williams man of the match yes but let’s be honest he was hardly brilliant in the game.
He's had a brilliant season for Rotherham, played nearly every game. Injury prone for us, erm maybe one of those illnesses Angus had.
Hopefully he gets more time in second leg, be great if he finds form in playoffs, ready to come back and fight for first team spot here. If he can recover the form he was showing pre leg break he can be a hell of a player.
So do I troff but then I am not a professional footballer, and I assume you are not one either. Half a stone is 7lbs. Hardly a crash diet, imho a professional footballer doesnt really have any excuse for carrying anything over 15% body fat. McGeehan may not be over 15%, it may be just the way he looks. But for me, his legs looked big (chunky) as opposed to muscular, and not that I was concentrating on his arse....but he certainly filled his shorts haha. Not fecaly I might add.
I hope the lad has re-discovered some confidence and comes back all the better for a change of scenery. Looking back at the clips of his time at Luton before he suffered his leg break, you can fully understand why we signed him. My wish, if of course we retain them for next season, is that the likes of McGeehan, Mallan, Moore, Mowatt, McCarthy, Pinnock, Knasmuller and Thiam can all come to the fore and feature in what we hope will be a successful team.
How Ryan Williams got man of the match was beyond me, as ineffective and useless as he was with us. Ivan Toneys not got any better either. The standard overall gives men huge confidence next year.
Instead of waiting to see if he can rediscover his form of two years ago the best scenario would be for him to get them promoted and Scunny wanting to buy him for what we paid for him, so we don't lose anything on him.
He's sat on their bench for 5 months. They're not going to pay a million quid for someone who they didn't think good enough to get in their team in League 1 when they've gone up a division.
