Player manager anyone? Was on soccer AM this morning, done his badges, wants to get into coaching at the least, reckons he's still got one year of playing in him. Got some experience while in India as manager. Wonder if he will see a club like us as his way in or if he wants to start higher?
remember him tearing us apart when he was at wolves once, not sure it's as much a gamble as a lampard, bellamy, scholes
Haven't got a clue about whether he'd make a good manager or be worth a punt.... but what a tremendous career he's had! For a player probably not quite on the mega-star level, he's been a Premier League scorer for over ten years, record Irish scorer, then goes to Los Angeles and smashes it there too breaking records. He comes across as a decent fella too in interviews. Bet he can't stop smiling!
Robbie Keane is 37 years old. Light years away from the appointment of Clarke, someone who still had miles in the tank but had lost the pace to play at Division 1 level. It would be a definite no from me, that’s for sure.
