I think we may well cash in on Bradders with 1 year on his contract. Will free up money for a new striker that may be a bit more pacy. I like Bradders & agree he'll score plenty with the right support / formation.
Armstrong is too much of a lightweight and is easily muscled off the ball. You need very strong strikers at L1 level.
Il quite happily eat humble pie if bradshaw smashes it up in league 1 next season but if we can sell for more than we paid for him then id let him go. I know he's done it previously with walsall but i cannot see what he offers. He's not got amazing pace, hasnt got strength, hasnt got a good touch and isnt exactly clinical.... He does work hard tho but im sure we have youngsters who could do the same if not more. I realise this sounds extremely critical and he probably deserves abit more credit but he's just one of those players that doesnt really do it for me...... Along with potts.
I think he'd be an excellent signing for League One. In a similar regard to the way Chopra, Earnshaw and Huckerby were sensational in the Championship but never quite good enough for regular Premier League outings, I think Armstrong is a League One goal machine that may struggle to establish himself a league higher. But for us next season he'd be more than good enough. His record at Coventry was excellent and would offer much needed pace. I think we'd struggle to get a better striker in without spending oodles of cash. Although his wages may well also require oodles of cash so I'm not totally sure we could get him anyway.
Fair enough. If you think get shut but it's like getting rid of Hedges and then bringing him back in a season if we re-sign Armstrong.
