It’s about my club and my team no matter who or where we’re playing . Hope you’re not another one who thinks of it’s not from “ tarn” it’s **** ! The club has to move forward and progress and that takes work and money . Luckily we have a board who will have plenty of both . I don’t want to be mucking about in the ale house league while looking up at shithouse clubs like Bournemouth Wigan etc leaving us in their wake .
Don't think that at all. I'm looking for some identity. Hammill was a scouser. Redders was from West Yorkshire. Danny was from Wigan. Clint was from Trinidad/Tobago. I don't care where anyone is from. What I want is character that we identify with and people who share our values. I love that Gauthier is intelligent, multi-lingual and has seemingly very good contacts across Europe. But does anyone at the club at present share our core values and identity?
It's a sad day Orsen. Adam Hammill was and will be a shining light in our history. As for core values....I don't think we have any that are any different to any other club in the country. We want to see our club win games, play well and play at the highest level possible. I saw a post a few days ago that seemed to suggest the Barnsley spirit was something out of the ordinary. It's not. There are proud communities all over the country. They're all just as proud and individualistic as us. As I say it's a sad day. But let's move on and try to create the next generation of Hammills and Hourihanes.
Hammills out of contract, players move on.A great player for us and I wish him all the best for the future.A future think on which HE might consider away from Oakwell.
Pull thi sen together FFS !!! I’m just foooking glad I wasn’t stood at the side of you in the trenches during World War One.
Talk about over reaction, great players and club idols come and go, it’s always been the same, we miss em, we remember em but......... Hopefully another one will be along soon!
You wouldn't have been able to handle the pressure anyway nudge. First sign of stress and you would've been riding a kids bike round the back roads of northern France
This reminds me of how the West Ham fans bang on about how it's got to be done 'the West Ham way'. Load of b#llocks, there's many ways to win a game of football. I like the creative total football but winning is winning. You can win with big names and with relative unknowns. All I want is a team that grafts it' nuts off and wins more than it loses. If the new owners wanna splash the cash fine but make sure they wanna wear the shirt. Our identity comes from being downtrodden Yorkshireman. We play hard and win fair, and take scalps along the way. Always been the case and will remain the same unless the new owners turn us into MASSIVES over night.
I felt like this after Hassell, Foster & then Steele left. Doesn’t feel anywhere as bad this time, think I’ve become immune to us losing players I like it happens that much
'kin 'ell ......I always thought you were a lanky slightly mental bloke in his late 40s early 50s, didn't realise you were a veteran of the 1st world war.......respect, sithi.
