I am a newbie on this. There’s it a lot of chatter about the next manager anywhere on the news. I think Grant McCann would do a good job and he is ex-Barnsley and used to work in the league with the Posh. We don’t want Grayson and I can’t see Mick McArthy dropping down to League Un.

Secondly we need a CEO with some more experience. GG I ahold accountable for some the signings including the ridiculous decision of hiring the Morais halfwit. Just because someone worked with Mourhinio does not mean he is as good - Paul Clement as an example.

    Hi Paul and welcome.

I hear that McCann is heading to Bradford. I don't think that he left here on great terms so I'd be very surprised if he ended up with the job.

The more that I hear and read I'm convinced that it'll be between Ainsworth and Hirst. If Shrewsbury are promoted then it'll put an end to our hunt for Hirst. I'd be happy with Ainsworth. Slowly built a reputation at Wycombe.

I still remain convinced, it's going to be Simon Grayson. Not personally enthused by that choice, but think he's the type
of man we need at this stage. He knows how to get teams promoted and with the squad we've got,
plus some quality additions, he'd stand a fair chance of getting us back into the Championship.
Once we get back there, we would hope that our new owners show the necessary commitment to improve the squad
to at least keep us in the Championship, or better still aim for a tilt at getting into the Premiership.

I cannot see Ainsworth leaving Wycombe. He played for them and they gave him his chance in management . He has done well by them and so I think he would want to have a shot with them in L1.

Who’s ‘we’ in ‘we don’t want Grayson?’. I’d take him, more often than not he’s been successful. Knows the league. Track record of developing young players. Track record of getting promoted.

I don’t hold the Sunderland job against him as it was a club in crisis free falling & everyone seems to struggle there.

In my opinion the main reason some people are against him is the Leeds connection

Like Hecky then with us ... we all know given improved terms that managers will leave

Grant McCann would be a top appointment. Would have learned under an unforgiving chairman at Peterborough and is a former Red which always ticks a box for me if good enough.

If rumours are true regarding Bradford, they've got themselves a top boss. I'm all up for appointing a young boss with potential but they have to have had some experience, which McCann has.

Would rather have Hurst than Ainsworth but as you say it might not be possible. Ainsworth would be a very good appointment but he has a lot of affliation with Wycombe and with us being in the same league, I can't see him leaving just yet. Hurst is gettable if Rotherham do em at weekend.
