http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44190067 wonder what would happen if he is refused, Chelski would be well and truly fecked.
perhaps, but he seems to like being in the stadium....he might well walk away if refused. I for one would not lose any sleep over that.
He’d never be refused a travel visa, even if he’s refused a residency visa he’d just have to leave the country for a few days every few months or so. His kids will be ok on rules about years being educated in a country so they will stay. It’ll be sorted anyway.
aye of course it will be sorted, he has the influence and financial clout for it not to go any other way...... Unlike a good many of the Windrush people.
The man is a parasite and a thief - I would stop supporting Barnsley if someone with his background took over, Chelsea fans should be ashamed to call themselves such with him in charge.
They don't care - they've won 16 major trophies and been champions of Europe. Doubt most fans would care with that kind of success for their team
I don't particularly care for him, but if you have a read about the messy privatisations of the early 90's in Russia, you'll realise it's nowhere near as simple as Abramovic and others simply stealing oil companies. It was mostly to do with him understanding full well how a capitalist system worked when most people around him had absolutely no clue. Plus of course he was in the right place at the right time to take advantage of all of the chaos.
Course it is. He was importing toys and trading stocks and shares internationally before the Soviet Union had even collapsed. Anyone who had the foresight to realise that importing stuff from abroad was probably going to make them a lot of money during Perestroika usually ended up pretty wealthy, as most others didn't remotely understand how supply and demand operated in the real world. The luck was being there at that time, plus having studied at a University which dealt with oil and gas extraction, he was in a position to enter that market and take advantage. Many of the deals were extremely shady - show me a big deal that wasn't shady in Russia then - but Abramovic had made a very lot of money though importing then making dolls before he had even got involved in commodities. As I said, I'm not a fan of his, or professing that he's remotely clean. But neither is he exceptionally shady, he's just a product of the wild 90's in Russia. A country in which people were literally making millions overnight out of chaos. But the ones who did were either well connected (right place, right time) or went around buying up workers' shares which they were given when their Soviet companies became proper enterprises (understanding of the capitalist system when most people didn't have a clue).
Abramovich Visa not agreed. Can only enter the UK as a visitor and can't work here. The proposed 1 billion upgrade to Stamford Bridge has been put on hold. Abramovich is contemplating his next move and has now accepted a Visa in Israel. Be interesting to see how it all pans out. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...plans-for-new-stamford-bridge-stadium-on-hold
