In L1 Kent would be a great asset. In the Championship he is a squad player with potential. Someone like Leeds will spruik 5 million quid on him and it may or may not come off. I thought for us he started off well but had no end product then was appalling until the last 10 games where something clicked. Since then by all accounts he has gone backwards.

I thought he was a good player, they wouldn't loan him out to league 1 though.

I am suprised that Liverpool are continuing to hang on. It is surely clear by now that he has more chance of landing on the moon than making Liverpool's first 11.

Argues that Hammill was deadwood as he has no end product.

And suggests Ryan Kent has better end product.

    My word.

I’ll qualify this. I’d love Ryan Kent next season, we won’t get him, but I’d love him. I’d have kept Hammill, but having not done so Kent would be a real coup.

We will miss Hammill’s leadership, passion, he’d have done well in league one. Kent would be a more than able replacement.

He’s quicker than Hammill, has youth on his side and possibly might beat a man more often.

But to argue his end product is better is nothing short of laughable. He tends to run up blind alleys most times in possession.

Which suggests it is a wind up.

Shame as it might have been a decent discussion without the unnecessary dig.

We’ve no chance of getting him regardless so it doesn’t really matter.

Not sure how Kent would be a real coup. He would more than likely expect wages larger than most of our squad and yet he’s not done anything in the past 12 months to deserve it. It’s a no in my opinion.

How does he not? Hammill failed to score in the league last season and I believe had 1 or 2 assists. That is having NO end product. Also I fail to see where Kent runs into blind alleys, I see him carrying the ball 60/70 yards up field a lot but rarely remember seeing him gift possession away, unlike Hammill. Doesn't slow down any counter attack so we can watch him do a couple of pointless step overs either.

Kent was one of Liverpools best players last summer and most Liverpool fans were wanting him to be more involved and by sounds of it Klopp wanted to keep him around but he pushed to go out on loan. He'll play for England within 4 year.

He did have end product. As he’d not been credited with the Preston assist for Potts, for months he was the player who’d created the most goal scoring opportunities without an assist in the league.

I can think of sitters off the top of my head of chances he made for Bradshaw, Barnes & Moore.

If you can verify this claim then I'll be happy to admit I'm wrong and happy to **** him off
