Im not saying I want Grayson but some of the negative opinions on here are a bit unfair on the guy. Graysons had one bad season. The season before with Preston he was a very sought after manager. Its only my opinion but if he'd have been the manager since hecky left, we still would be in the championship, no question, would it have been pretty? probably not. But i dont care, winning is all that matters to me, end of. I dont care if we kick lumps out of opposition and win 1-0 all the time, i go to see us win and thats it. Weve been a soft touch for far too long. He wouldnt be the worst appointment, not by a long chalk, a european second tier no mark would though.... in my opinion.

I agree, watching us getting bullied for the last season we all know how to stop bullies...

I thought it was Warnock who did that when he was in charge of Leeds Utd.

Tina, if my memory is correct Barnsley played Leeds Utd the game we are talking about was Christmas time 2011 Vaz Tee came on and scored 3 after Butterfield got cropped by Brown , Grayson lasted a few more weeks then got the sack and then Redders took over I will stand being corrected if wrong .

Im not convinced he will have said " now then browny, get on their and deliberatley injure butterfield please mate, the more the better kid"
Reckon he may have said first opportunity you get, let him know your there, stop him from running the show. And the neaderthal that Brown is took it way too far.
Unfortunatley we need more steel in the side, we are way too soft and not street wise enough.

Warnock didn't take over at Leeds until February 2012. The game where Vaz Te came on and scored the hat trick was played on 31st December 2011 and he replaced Jacob with about 15 minutes gone. I can remember Miles Addison hitting Brown with a crunching but fair tackle and Brown sat on the pitch looking vainly at the referee for a free kick that wasn't coming his way.

Grayson's work rate has been called into question a bit in the past. Recruitment lazy. Football boring and recently it's stopped getting results for him tbh.

    I remember that game well.
    You're absolutely correct.

It was a shocking tackle which happened in front of us in the west stand & if my memory serves me well , Brown had already had one go at Butterfield & failed but his second go was brutal & with out a doubt in my mind it was premeditated & planned. In the long term it cost Barnsley a lot of money as a lot of speculation about Butterfield getting transferred for big bucks was doing the rounds at the time & consequently the injury put pay to that & eventually he went to Norwich for what was a lot less than we would have got in the january window had he remained fit .
