Over his recent tattoo (and just in general) is absolutely disgraceful. No idea why we do this in England.
The explanation makes even less sense. Tragic what happened to his dad, stupid to permanently mark a killing machine on your leg in his position and given his loss.
Im fairly sure thats not the point @mansfield_red is making. Stirling has explained why he has the tattoo - now personally I wouldnt have done that but then I dont have the history that he has. but the wider point was that if it wasnt Stirlings Tattoo it would be something else on one of our World cup squad. sections of our Media seems to have an agenda of hate and undermining of sports and public figures for its own ends rather than any constructive good
That's his decision to make, not yours. And even if you don't agree with the tattoo, articles such as this are a disgrace
Of course he can make any idiotic decision he likes. And he can be called out on any of those idiotic decisions. I'n guessing that's the Sun or another of the hatred tabloid full of lies. Don't buy them, they will go away.
If it wasn't for the upcoming World Cup, Sterling's tattoo would have been nothing more than a photo doing the rounds on Twitter for teenage boys to pass comment on. But our very own press and media love a story to destabilise our big tournament preparations. They've hit the jackpot on previous attempts, Sven skuttling Ulrika Jonnson being one example, but if this is the best they can come up with this year... Bit daft by Sterling, and not quite sure I get the logic of his explanation, but this story really doesn't warrant the attention it's getting, and probably wouldn't had the tattoo been revealed in say October.
Tattoo of a gun? Where is the problem here? I've a mate with a dagger and snake wrapped around it tattoo. And I've seen plenty of other strange tattoos on people and not one has offended me. But I hope FIFA ban him from the World Cup.
I agree entirely, if your Dad got shot by a gun WHY on earth would anyone have a tattoo of a gun? I honestly can't think why but its up to him i suppose, but our paparazzi must be some of the most bored people in the world.

Hahaha love it. Yeah i hope they turn it into some kind of 'middle finger up at the press' moment like Gazza' dentist chair at Euro 96. I did think it was a bit strange what he has done but it's his body and if that's what he wants to do then fair enough. Just the morally bankrupt press trying to sell papers as per usual.
What about a catholic person having a cross around their neck? You know it’s the thing that killed Jesus and all that but that’s fine. I’m not a big tattoo fan, but it’s up to him what he wants to do. It’s hardly offensive, he can’t point his tattoo gun at anyone and shoot them. A huge non story in an era of continuous non stories.
For the life of me I can't understand why people want tattoos.to me they are ugly and have no aesthetic value.
So, if when the tattoo is finished and we see it all, it has flowers sprouting from the muzzle or something similar, we'll still be saying it's a stupid thing to do? Why anyone in the UK buys the Sun or Mail I have no idea, most unpatriotic thing to do.
If it was me i'd now go the opposite way just to piss people off. I'd have bullets coming out of the gun and little figures of people's heads exploding á la the childlike ones drawn in Deadpool At least they'd then have something to moan about.
Sterling is a well paid footballer who is in the public highlight all the time. He has responsibilities to be careful what he portrays to younger people. Some will think if he does this then we are ok doing it Irrespective of what the real reason for his tattoo he should have not done it Unfortunately a lot of footballers, not all, are blessed with brains in their feet and not in their head
