Sadly this week, Barnsley lost its oldest active fan. Dad, Arthur Lee would have been 95 this month and had supported the Reds for over 86 years. Think that will take some beating!! He was a Season Ticket holder in Club 64 up until this last season and was looking forward to another season in Division 1 (not). It's a shame his passing wasn't during the season - we could have had a minute's applause in the 94th minute (usually when the Reds were conceding the goal to win the match!!) I am comforted in the memory that he went to both Wembley finals and had a great time with 3 generations of fans in his beloved family
So sorry to hear of your loss TH. Hope remembering all the happy times you all shared will bring comfort to yourself and your family. May he Rest in Peace.
Taking my kids, to see us win at Wembley, will always be one of my fondest memories, so it's nice that your Dad can take those memories with him, and leave the same ones with you, along with many, many others, I'm sure. Rest In Peace.
