I used Lewis David in Hemsworth. His office is a bit run down but he’s cheap and got the job done

Chris Waddingham at Blacks in Leeds was excellent for me. Drop @Chef Tyke a line.

My mum had a house move a few years ago and used Mills Kemp and Brown. Can't recall who it was but she was really impressed and he helped guide her through a couple of properties that she later pulled out of after the work highlighted poor works that couldn't be substantiated with regs and certifcates. She spoke glowingly of the service.

    She's not easily impressed either!

For the recent purchase of a property I used PM Property Lawyers in Sheffield (stay well clear).
I have previously used MKB Solicitors and also Elmhirst Parker who are both based in Barnsley town centre. I think Elmhirst Parker were a little pricey but the service was excellent from initial appointment right through to completion. Would recommend you phone round 3 or 4 just to see how they compare price wise.

My firm is Blacks Solicitors in Leeds

Send me a pm and I can put you in touch with someone to look after you

You can probably find cheaper elsewhere but beware - lots of law firms used unqualified staff for conveyancing because the margins are tight.

    Cheers

We used them a couple of years ago. They were fine but it was the first time I bought so can't compare. I used them on the recommendation of an uncle who said they were Barnsley fans.

Thanks for replies everyone and your offer chef tyke, wife has decided to go with Mills Kemp and Brown so we’ll see how it goes. At least it won’t be my fault if things go pear shaped
