Bit of a club legend from his playing days, took the kids to a German cup win. He took over when we were all but relegated from the Bundesliga and brought some kids in & we ended season well. Started 2nd division on fire but got a bit stuck for goals after Xmas... We were still 3rd, like 2 points of automatic when he was fired. Was perceived to be harshly done to but our president isn’t exactly the most well liked bloke! We went up & he deserves lots of credit for the way he turned the atmosphere at the club around after an awful year. He spent a long time in the youth set up post retirement and promoted youngsters, so I imagine you’re seeing him as a German Heckingbottom. Hope he does well. No idea if he speaks English, but most Germans do!
l for one am looking forward to the new season. I suspect Stendel will have them a lot fitter than we've been used to. German coaches seem to go up another level when it comes to fitness coaching (Wagner, Rossler, Klopp, Lowe). Some of our players were blowing out of their arses after 60 minutes last season so hopefully he'll sort that out. With a full pre-season, this set of kids could do a Wigan/Rotherham/Blackburn, There's still some decent quality for this division and one or two additions could see us challenging from the off. I'm quite pleased we haven't gone down the traditional route of appointing an English manager. Most of them are stuck in a time warp. COYR
So German coaches make players fitter then Klopp n Lowe some a best players in Europe n Wagner's superfit players will more than likely be relegated next season see if their super fit then n as for rosslers superfit players who are they
