Thiam, over 1 million paid apparently and just does not fit in our side. He certainly is not a striker and not fit enough to play as a right midfielder in a 442. Only time he looked OK was under Morais in the 433 type thing he tried but didn't look that good that I would consider playing that week in week out just to fit him in.
Thiam, Mowatt & maybe McGeehan, but think he may yet come good, given a proper pre-season. Would definitely cut my losses on the other two. I'd rather see Adeboyejo & Brown given a bit of a chance as squad players, assuming we keep Keefer & Bradders. If we keep the latter we'll need to get him on a new contract. If plan is to play 1 up front I'd be tempted to let him move on if we get a reasonable offer, as he can't play that position (neither could Thiam, not mobile enough).
Am I the only one that thinks that Thiam is a lot better than some of you think. Thought he should have been given a run in the side. Might have boosted his confidence. I see lots of things in him that will rip league one apart. Just an honest opinion like.
Never claimed to be a coach just passing my personal opinion based on the OPs post. If you disagree then that's your call but from what I have seen he is the one player in the squad that I would happily get rid of if we could recoup the full fee
As it stands, thiam. However I hope he settles after a full preseason and everyone starting a new chapter together.
Mamadou Nill would be my choice too. Be christmas and birthday all in one if someone offered us what we paid for him in transfer fee, agent fee, signing on fee, weekly wage, bonuses and whatever else. A lot of money for a now third division striker, who can't score from open play.
