Do you seriously expect any of that original £10 to be spent by our government on Barnsley? If so you are seriously deluded.

Besides which, the money we give to Europe is for membership of the single market, nothing in life is free.

Referenda are a pretty awful method of deciding anything. Having said that we should implement the decision to leave the EU as soon as practical as that was the basis they Ref was fought on. We should also remain in the CU and SM as neither formed part of the referendum. If anyone disagrees they can campaign for further referendum on those issues. From a personal point of view the sooner the better as it will kill off the idea of British exceptionalism ( and a few of the old racists with it). I will probably be ok so basically sod the rest.

I was reading an article last week about the difference between the "Anywheres" and the "Somewheres" in modern society. Basically, the crux of the argument was that the "Somewheres" are more likely to be lesser educated, lesser mobile (live within a few miles of their parents and grandparents) and more likely to vote Leave. They are also more likely to suffer as a result of the effects of Brexit as they are less likely to relocate to take advantage of any opportunities.

I love the special kind of genius where working class people believe that Farage and Dacre and Gove and Johnson and Banks are defending them against the elites. They are the elites you idiots...the more I think about it the more ‘I’m alright Jack’ I become. Though if we end up selling off the NHS to the yanks I may be less sanguine. I feel blessed to be able to relocate if needed with skills to transfer. Unfortunately many who voted leave will be stuck. At the end of the day that’s on them though.

Wow I just spotted a different article on this site
    http://leavehq.com/blogview.aspx?blogno=128
Explaining the reality if we go out without a deal - this is a leave site and its predicting 8million UK job losses if we just crash out with no deal in March

And still remainers get accused of inventing project fear and still Davies and Boris and Mogg continue their fantasies - it makes me ill

    - I dont agree with the Leave Alliance position but at least they have one and put out a plan to get there - why are the muppets in charge of our country - the ones we have given back control to, such a complete mess
    This fudge is beyond satire

It just shows the paucity of ability in our elected representatives. Labour's refusal to back the Lords amendment then come up with their idea of a 'bespoke' deal is pure drivel. Theresa May etc haven't a clue and are driven by Brexit mentalists.

EFTA/EEA and we're by and large sorted.

Not in my life time, and that included Majors government, have we had a political representation so lacking in honesty, ethic and ability. On all sides, of all political wills, the whole lot are clueless.

It's pretty damning when one of the most honest straight talking MPs is Ken Clarke.... good god.

On that I think you and I are in complete agreement

Not my ideal but if we are serious about Brexit its the least bad option I have seen - but there is no sign at all that the Govt is even considering it - then again I dont know what the government plan actually is even now - despite all leavers insisting they knew what they voted for

I don’t see why Labour don’t say yes we will vote for EFTA/EEA as a backstop position though we would like to negotiate a better deal given relative size of economy. Covers the bases and respects the Ref result.
