Premier league to get 2 week break in February starting 2019/20 season.

Clubs will be planning their tours of the Middle/Far East as we speak.

Yep will be playing 'friendlies' despite the poor poppits needing their rest.
Winter break in a temperate climate warmed by the gulf stream.

football is a winter sport. Anyone who has ran round kicking a football will know it is far more comfortable than in the summer because you don't overheat & become dehydrated.

madness to have a break in peak football season

I don't get it. I can't see what that will achieve at all.

Odds on the weather being fine for those two weeks and severe snow either just before or just after
to be honest though if its just the prem and not the EFL I dont really care

Will this winter break only apply to the premier league who only play 38 league matches,as opposed to 46 matches for 1st and 2nd division clubs and get millions of pounds a season, sounds about reight.

Thought if there was a winter break they could go for warm weather training but not play friendlies!

Ah but you are missing all the European matches most of our important premier clubs are playing in as well :)
and the fact that many of the players at the important premier clubs will play a few internationals a season too :) :)

And the fact that these knackered footballers playing internationals are only knackered when wearing England shirts....they seem to do ok when playing for Spain, Germany ,France etc.

With so many foreign players in the Premier it would help England in tournaments if we played MORE games as then our opposition players would be worn out and the England players (who can't get in the teams most weeks ...regular mid season breaks) would be much fresher and would undoubtedly force that advantage home and win every tournament in the future o_O:D
