TR should have kept away until the final trial and verdicts reached. If he wants to play at journalism, he needs to do some research in law.

I get that, just don’t understand what the other fella was on about. He seemed to imply that Robinson was the saviour of the case..?

No, I just listen to the radio a lot. As I said it was pretty well covered by both so there is definitely no cover up, it just wasn't particularly newsworthy. Those marching were naïve and misguided at best and racist thugs at worst - I don't know what they thought a march in support of somebody convicted of contempt of court was going to achieve.

I think you'll find that if you assess the educational credentials of those marching for Tommy Robinson compared to your average "soft left wing liberal" you might find the results rather disappointing in backing up your argument.

All the footage I've seen of this protest from loads of mainstream news outlets must be imaginary then. It's easy to find online.
The fact is is that 20'000 people out of a nation of 60 million + is not a lot of people so it's not really newsworthy. It looks to me like there were a few instances of 'chase-me handbags' so again not really newsworthy.
Supporters of Robinson have got to realise that the majority of the country don't care about him, lot's of people will not even know who he is. Just because it's important to you doesn't mean it's significant to other people.
In brief: it was a small protest with a little bit of naughtiness
If you want to see a proper protest then google "poll tax riots"

How would you define 'our' culture?
What does Britishness mean to you?

Which to be fair the majority of people now are: like my mum and dad who are in their late 70s.
Like i said this was not a large protest in the grand scheme of things and not much happened. It was competing with the G7 meeting and the fallout between trump and the canadian. The news also had the impending meeting between the world's two biggest lunatics in singapore to look forward to.
It's been a hard week to get a look-in news wise.

Exactly. Robinson was sentenced for two counts of contempt of court, one of them which was suspended. It was nothing at all to do with a conspiracy to shut him up. Anyone of us would face a similar sentence for doing the same thing.

Im.not sure people wanting these odious people convicting makes them left wing pinko commies. On the other hand we could all back a bloke whose actions could have seen them walk away scott free. Back him out not he's wrong on this.

We do not have, and have never had, free speech enshrined in British law. One of the drawbacks of no proper codified constitution.
