Should have got the job when hecky did one - we'd still be in the championship now rather than what happened with the clown they appointed. Said it at the time.
Loads said it and I think that we would have stayed up for sure. Just hope Stendel isn’t as disastrous as Morais.
Based on what exactly? I’ve got nothing against the guy but Wednesday were one of the worst sides to come to Oakwell last season and it still took a great McBurnie goal to get anything from the game. Just because Morais failed doesn’t mean Harsley would’ve been a success.
His win record in developmental is poor. He was in charge against the worst Wednesday side in years. It was missing so many players through injury. Something like enough to fill an whole team. We got lucky to still get anything out of it. I like your optimism but I don't think we'd have had any better chance of staying up with him in charge, instead of Morais.
Genuine question , how do you come to that conclusion , what evidence is there to justify that statement ? . In my eyes ,its nothing more than guesswork & can never be proved or disapproved . One thing for certain , if he had got the gig & failed , the club would have been hammered for taking a so called cheap option
The way i see it is that if he was a player on trial he wouldn't have got the job after his poor performance at the Wednesday game
I felt totally underwhelmed after that failure to beat the Fowls, and I thought Harsley would have been an awful appointment tbh. However not to worry eh, because we brought in Mr Nandos and everything worked out superbly after that didn't it.
We don't go out to win the league in those games - we play teams and players to improve players not pick the best side.
I don't know about that, but I am trying to say I might have been wrong and a little bit unfair on Harsley. Especially when you look at what happened after he didn't get the job!.
