I got one months ago, nothing since. But tbh I'm not bothered, I'd rather they just got on with it instead of wasting money on constant publicity. I think by now we all have a fair idea if what's happening.
I'm pretty sure when the last one was issued there was some small print text at the bottom saying they were having a bit of a break and the next one wouldn't be issued until July PS just to add that from what some reported on here I think Henry Boot are way behind programme particularly on the library element of works so perhaps this originally wasn't a scheduled break for the newsletter but they just won't have nothing new to report for a few weeks.
Thanks for that - bit disappointing to hear that, but I walk past every day and I don't see much progress. Maybe they need a boot up the backside.
It's quite laughable how little is being done. I work in the centre of Leeds and they've thrown up 3 large office blocks (now occupied), with a 4th about 1/2 built, in the same time they've managed to put the foundations in at Barnsley. https://iris.time-lapse-systems.co.uk/viewer/7-8-wellington-place-building-7-and-8/
I was talking about the building next to Leeds Arena in this thread. http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/barnsleys-sagrada-familia.268752/
But it took 12 months ti get anove.ground.l level in sweet st but in the next 6 months they are up floor 8 Once the footings are right these things fly
For the nerdy types, here's a skyscraper forum which tracks progress of major builds. https://www.skyscrapercity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4215
Having recently read this article I wouldn't be surprised if its barely open... https://www.barnsleychronicle.com/article/cutbacks-could-mean-shorter-library-hours
I wonder whats happened to them. I can't find anything about them anywhere or even view old copies as the links just don't work
