    Not a bad watch. Saudi Arabia liked fast and energetic but lacked quality. Russia looked pretty average but had more guile and power. Doubt Uruguay will be worried about either. Goals galore though so a decent opening game.

    That's exactly what I thought of England when we lost to Iceland two years ago.

    In the opening exchanges I thought Saudi Arabia looked (technically) quite good. They made good runs, close control was good, passed it at pace along the ground....a lot better than some of the amateurish "hoof it up to the big lad" we witnessed from our own side last season.
