So, profit and a sell on. It's a shame we didn't get to see him play more for us but if he wanted to go I would rather he went in a deal that's best for both parties which sounds like it was.
Well it says we made a profit on him and seemingly have a sell on clause too. I would’ve liked to see him stay though. From his record in Austria I had high hopes for him and, particularly in league 1, I thought (hoped) he could’ve been a useful player.
Can't blame him for wanting to go back to Austria. He's come here to play for our first team, for whatever reason it's rarely happened. Would have liked to see him in league one, but hey ho! A yodelling he must go.
Not too sure if we'd make profit, he did cost more than 20 quid, right! Hey it will be interesting preseason for him tho, if the german fitness thingy is to be believed..
I do not think the signings of Moore , Potts , Pinnock , Pearson & Lindsay have been a disaster. I also hold out hope that Mgheehan ( if spelled right ) that he might come good
Agreed, and think McCarthy and Hedges will be excellent in L1. As will Isgrove. Hopefully a full season performing in L1 would make them all more ready if we get promoted to the championship too. I have no idea how Cavare and Thiam will do if they stay on.
Will Isgrove ever be fit? Hedges has shown nothing before to suggest he will do anything. Moore will be sold. Potts and Pearson look extremely average. Pinnock and Lindsay may go well in league one. Point being these players were signed with a view to performing in the Championship. During that time the transfer record was abysmal.
Your list of points are of course your entitled opinion but we do not agree as I think there is potential in Hedges , Isgrove has been fit in the past & has performed well for us , there is speculation about Moore but you cannot be sure he will be sold , Potts & Pearson might be raw but they could still turn out to be good signings & I do not think the transfers were abysmal, more the HC"s who ran the show, were more culpable than the players
You've got to admit the signing of another attacking midfielder in January wasn't what we needed as a squad and for an impending relegation battle. He couldn't get a game despite it being our weakest area of the team. The recruitment of players is the main contributor to our relegation IMO, not necessarily the individual quality, but we signed too many of the same type and did not recruit into a preferred system or build a team with the necessary component parts. That has to change otherwise the outcome will be no different, regardless of us being in a lower division.
I was replying to the comments about our recruitment being a disaster , there is no doubt it could have been better but I do believe there were some positives & it was not abysmal as described , regarding our relegation , I think there were a few collective failures which contributed to our demise & not just the dealings in the transfer market
