    That’s true, but he had no reason to touch him at all, and to be fair to Ronaldo ( god I hate saying that) he didn’t even seem to be looking for it.

    It was stupid, no doubt but if Ronaldo goes to ground with so little contact he really needs to avoid pubs and crowded places. Unfortunately it's all part of the game these days, so the best thing is to not touch a player at all.

    There was indeed no need to foul him.

    The revenge was sweet for CR though, nasty **** apparently though he is - which according to others, is far more important than the fact that he single handedly got Portugal a draw tonight.

    Both penalty and foul leading to free kick were stonewall. Looking at slo-mo from different angles, In both cases a mountain goat would have found it hard to stay upright. Much as I find CRs posturing off-putting to say the least you cannot deny when it comes to kicking a bag of air round a field , for what THAT is worth in the grand scheme of things, he is without doubt one of the best, if not THE best at it.
    Not that I will watch that much of the WC but a bonus here in Italy is that MediaSat seem to be transmitting it on Channel 5 HD WITHOUT ANY COMMENTARY!!! YAY!!!!! You just get crowd noise and none of the non-stop jabbering of the commentators.
