    Pretty much stopped caring about the england team after italia 90 so it's nice not to get anxious about the mediocrity any more.
    I want them to do well of course and perhaps they will considering the current standard of football world-wide.
    I'm sticking with Mexico however who i have at 80/1 to win the tournament: got to be worth a good cash-out at least.

    And our national dishes are indian, Italian and jewish. We're a nation of migrants, whether Viking, roman, norman, or more recently carribbean, African or middle eastern. Yet a large portion of the 52% ignore their own likes and even their own blood.... to follow the crusade of a few right wing media owning psychopaths, many not even English themselves, who live offshore and don't pay their fair share of tax. You couldn't make it up.

    Chinese and not forgetting Thai.... not sure about jewish though. The bagel is fairly popular i guess but i dont like the touch of sweetness.

    Must admit I've gone from being someone who used to go to a lot of England games home away to have barely seen any of the qualifiers this time. At the same time, I've lost interest in football other than Barnsley.
    Having said all that, I have got quite excited about the world cup, watched loads of games and build up and I am pretty excited now for the game. Hopefully, we don't revert to our most recent tournament performances otherwise there's a danger I might go back to my original course at 9pm tonight :)
    Although my second team, Mexico might keep me interested even if England are rubbish.

    1-1 today I reckon which I don’t actually mind because I’ve learnt to accept the failures over the years and Tunisia gave Spain a hard time in their friendly match so not a pushover.

    Me too. I'm looking forwards to tonight. I've felt a massive disconnect with England over recent years but I'd love to see Stones and the other players with Barnsley connections do well. Come on England.
