Some may argue the knuckle dragging sexist bigotry has been ruining it for years, some others may differ. Such is society.

I said the same when we had numerous Tommy Robinson posts recently but it's just getting beyond a joke now. Not your post specifically, just the way that a board designed for BFC, football, and general sporting topics is dominated by politics.

I'm not sure it's dominated by politics, but I can understand there is more prevalence giving the current climate and division. I'm finding it everywhere, from talking with clients, a natter in the pub and just general content online.

But there is plenty of football related stuff, and I can assure, there wasn't any intent to derail, I was picking up on the point of st George and extending it with the food aspect. I did spend the weekend around diverse and edgy Peckham and Brixton though (on different days too!) where I ended up drinking on the top floor of a former cricket bat factory and eating a chicken burger in a converted Peckham car park! I clearly needed a vent after such an edgy weekend! ;-)

I know where you are coming from - but that was a response to the fairly valid puzzlement about why our Patron saint isnt English. Not really relevant to a come on England thread though.
Worryingly I am starting to think we might have a chance tonight - I should know better than to expect anything other than bottlement as soons as the 3 lions walk onto a World Cup finals pitch

I must admit, i'll be getting stuck into the game of thrones box set instead, but a group with Tunisia and Panama in with 2 guaranteed qualifiers has to be a piece of cake. Hope they do well, but if they do or they don't, the world will keep on turning.

Whatever it is, it's spreading because I'm extremely optimistic too. In fact I'm optimistic that we can go to the quarter finals.

I like the look of the team on paper. Credit to Southgate for picking a young, hungry squad.

Who know's how far they'll get, but I wish them all the best. Quarter finals would be a decent level for this team, but a bit of luck & we might do better.
